Don't know anything about anyone attacking people, but them kids in Barrow end today who were obviously out spending their Christmas money were embarrassing today.

Positives from today's game Otis Khans goal a well worked effort with a sublime finish! In fact Otis Khans overall contribution to the game, the only reason I can comprehend his substitution was to rest him for Gateshead as most positives came through Otis.

Neil Ashton worked his socks off for the full ninety minutes he wasn't faultless but showed what is needed in his honesty and endeavour, the rest let themselves the supporters and their fellow teammates down they looked lethargic from the exploits of an over indulgent festive period.

The sooner Dan Livesey gets back into the starting ranks the better for me as we lacked cohesion at the back, also no shape in midfield and played with no width at all! Ok he can't address the midfield or lack of width but will certainly shore up a very indifferent defence. our midfield needs to be addressed in the January transfer window as it has constantly been our failing for a season or three and it undermines everything as a team!

Former Bluebird Jamie Allen deserves a special mention as he caused us countless problems for most of the afternoon closely followed by Lewis Almond who again proved to be a persistent thorn in our sides.

According to radio interview with Cox, Khan felt a twinge in his groin, so was replaced as a precaution.

Fair comment Ian, hope he's fit and well for Gateshead. Two performed better for me Al!

We had more possession and buzzed around, Walker and Khan for me most effective

They were miles quicker on the ball and their midfield was more creative.

I've seen us play worse

Nae idea about any bother.

Come Jan we need to get rid of the dross and replace them with players who want to pull that Barrow shirt on and give their all.I have seen improvement over the last two games in our style of football but I would imagine PC wants to get his own squad together.Heading for a mid table finish in the league and hoping for a good run in the FA Trophy although Halifax are on a good run.Gateshead next up. :scarf:. Word of thanks to Jamie Reid for feeding the fans at the bar.Much appreciated.Great turnout by the Barrow faithful.
Agree with most of this post, but genuinely interested to know who the "dross" are?
Anyone got views on who should go in January with that tag?

Don't understand why we need a clear out and wholesale changes - Southport have now notched up 5 wins in a row with a squad that was statistically worse than ours.

Maybe we should have touted Edmo's job to Maamria :)

Maybe Southport have not had the injuries and suspensions (8 players missing again yesterday) that Barrow have.

You have to ask what are we doing with players at the club where half of the team seem to be constantly injured - not having a reserve team means when they do come back they aren't match fit

I'd imagine our budget is far higher than that of southports - southport are without doubt the form side at the moment - I wasn't at the game but clearly changes will be made but I actually think this squad is good enough for the top half

If that happened then they should be treated in the same way as the Atherstone fans that attacked the Barrow fans - what we shouldn't do ( like the police have on Twitter ) is tar everyone with the same brush

I'd say we need two midfielders another two strikers (one if hearn stays) and we need howarth back and Otis till the end of the season!
