I thought this had all been sorted because no one heard anything?
It hadn't been sorted a former member of this forum, it was still being looked into when Glasgow_blue received some info off a man in the crowd who hadn't come forward. I spoke with Glasgow_blue yesterday and passed that same information onto others at the club.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Excellent news.

I think a former member of this forum was making a dig at peoples generally very dismissive reactions to the accusation.

This is supposed to be the Bromley match-thread, not the racism/abuse thread, so back to it.

Paul Cox comments to NWEM were enlightening. (Follow on to my earlier post on Saturday 7.42pm)

OK, so now we know. His tactics and strategy on Saturday were not to win, it was not to loose. Now what we witnessed makes sense. He readily admits he's not interested in playing attractive football, that's why the team formation was 1-9-1, to block-up the middle.

But 'pull the other one' when you blame your negative tactics on the pitch... "the football hasn’t been brilliant through the quality of the pitches".

Fan satisfaction is obviously not high on his agenda, just "kick the ball into touch lads". Hope there's still a few supporters still around when he decides to try and win a game and provide some entertainment.

He adds "we need 4 or 5 quality players", meaning he has no regard for half the team. Will need a mini-bus at end of season to take all the cast-offs and their baggage to the station.

But until then, with 47 points in the bag, 10 points above relegation, could he not relax the 'hunker down in the bunker' mentality and give us some happy thoughts to leave Holker St with?

Don't worry Paul, your team is not going to be relegated now, your job is safe. Take a breath.

I know exactly what a former member of this forum meant :)

I suppose it was very hard for the club to do anything without any sort of statement, or witness, so quite reasonable for people to think it was something that was misheard.

Cox has come in and in my opinion we look harder to beat.
With a few additions already we look a better defensive team.
Priority was staying up which I feared at one stage under Edmo we wouldn't.
I would rather have 1-1 results similar to Saturday for the rest of sesson than 3-4 defeats like tranmere

When Edmo was sacked in mid December, the team were staring in to the abyss. Shipping goals for fun, religation seemed a very real prospect and the genuinly daunting task facing Cox was to turn around a team of mis-fits with confidence at rock bottom. I believe, if they were honest, most fans would have bitten your hand off at the prospect of ending the season in comfortable mid table obscurety at that point.
Fast forward 3 month.... The job seems almost done. We've played almost all the top half and battled competetevly throughout. We're a tough outfit to beat now. With the addition of some options up front to give us more goals we'll do well next year.
Its not been pretty but we're doing the small things right now. Its a solid foundation and we will kick on.
I really struggle to see what more some supporters want?...

I like Cox , and he has done a good job too steady the sinking ship, and we will do well next season ! Pleasing too hear that Cox see's we are 5-6 players short especially in the midfield , but he didn't have too say that's not having a go at this current bunch , well, yes it is , and rightly so , though even this cm can hold the ball for spells pass it around a bit , v Bromley I can't remember 3-4 pass's too each of our men ! Also too blame the pitch , no, it's a bit bobbly , however u can play decent football on that, it's not a mud bath!! Look at Accrington's pitch , they are playing some nice football going for playoffs, same goes for Braintree in our division, and didnt Liverpool dominate England in the 80's I've seen and heard about pitch's back then! The Forest green staff were saying how good the pitch at Holker street was, as have several teams this season . So let's start seeing some passing football !

I don't think it was outrage that an announcement had been made, it was right that an announcement should be made...it was more that people were getting [SwearFilter] off after it was announced over and over again. I heard it myself 3 times.
Outrage was the polite version of what I heard hoss.
