I think that was the man. He was huge but very slow. The black lad who played alongside him was very good, though and judging from what their fans were saying is their outstanding player. He was called Omar Beckles, was very solid, and could also play a bit. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing him in a Barrow shirt.

Hopefully not based on the comment of one Aldershot fan.'Good riddance,to call him a one-trick pony would be an insult to ponies'.Perhaps it could be Ben Heneghan from Chester.Being linked with FL clubs so would be a massive statement of intent.

Well, as we all know, the comment of one fan on a forum trumps any amount of scouting trips, previous knowledge of the player by management etc.

Omar Beckles (aldershot) or Manny Smith (ex Wrexham) are 2 that spring to mind - but the reference to bringing them up north to Barrow makes me think Beckles more.....
he seams to be very highly rated if it's him....

Fair comment though it wasn't the only negative statement. More significantly we would be signing a 32 year old to replace a player of the same age many consider too old and over the hill.Hardly progressive.

Could well be a lower league player ala Williams

quite possibly - it's pure speculation at present - but i'd be happy with a defender as good at defending as Jordan Williams is going forward!

Just a thought but would anybody like to see Mikey Donohue back from Everton?

Think many would like to see Otis Khan. How would he fit into Paul Cox's team set up?

And with the score as it is after the first leg ,that looks quite probable

Anyone remember Sam Corne the Welling mid? He ran the show here and it wasn't a one off as he was being scouted by league clubs and even Chelsea.
