Quick bit of research explains that Burgandy (the colour) is a colour along the lines of maroon, cordovan or oxblood.

Red is a colour at the end of the spectrum next to orange and opposite violet. No mention of maroon in there :)

Personally, I don't see Burgandy as red, and even if it was it's never bothered me if we had a red third kit, I liked the one in the 90s (still got it somewhere) but it would've been better without V****** Promotions plastered on the front.
Quick bit of research explains that 'the color burgundy is similar to other shades of dark red such as maroon, cordovan, and oxblood, but differs from each of these in subtle ways.' Similar explanation so possibly from the same source? I know not everyone has the same aversion to red kits as I do and that's fair enough. Point taken and understood. But it's red, plain and simple.
And for me, it's nothing to do with any other club's colours when it comes to BAFC.
Haha....you got me! I left the "dark red" bit out :)

You are right though, it's three kits and not everyone will like them all - I was never keen on the yellow top but most seem to like them.

Forgot to add to my previous post. Football shirts should never have collars and buttons. But hey, it,s nothing to do with us fans anymore.

Launched before July, just in time for everyone's holidays.
3rd kit looks great too. PC said at the forum it wouldn't be red, prefer bright orange myself, but Burgundy will do
Well done all at the club involved in this.
And even out before the mighty Fylde :D
 :scarf:

Jeezo folks. For the first time ever there actually are kits before the end of June. No biggie for most but in the annals of Barra [SwearFilter] Soccer this is akin to winning at Bristol Rovers or the Conference North, as both were achieved on the same budget but seemingly were easier. This is Moon landing shit!

I really don't care re kits but I am looking forward to picking the wee lad up from school so he can get top on the first day it comes out and wear it to Mini Bluebirds on Saturday. Nice Grandad thing. The indoctrination continues.

Those computer edited pictures are a complete mis representation of the terrible quality of those over priced weaved bog rolls.

Fylde will have a proper smart Adidas one out soon, can't wait to see what its like

The burgundy/red arguments is reminiscent of those Arsenal fans on Twitter who had that famous argument over whether Jackson Martinez was 28 or 29.

Why? Is 28 a sort of 29?

It's certainly the best part of 29...

No matter how many times you say that Fylde's kit still isn't available. Perhaps you should go on their forum and complain?

Perhaps if they had one problems like this wouldn't happen.

Despite the propaganda, I really like the look of them! May buy one for the first time in about 8 years!
