Barrow v Dagenham match thread
Re: Barrow v Dagenham match thread
It would be actually good to see a SHOT on goal. Think there were about two yesterday.
Re: Barrow v Dagenham match thread
like the rest of this thread have said i think we look toothless up top! Harrison may aswell have not been on the pitch yesterday. White, alot of effort no quality! new left back was tidy on the ball but didnt have a lot in front of him to help out! for me Holt has got to start, the 2 cameo's ive seen him in, hes produce more quality in those 20 odd mins than any of the front men put together!! Bauress not good enough for this standard. Asa hall looks lost at times and compared to Gomis looks bang average! for me its survive the season then let the manager build his own squad

Asa Hall "compared to Gomis looks bang average"
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

As CB above has sed, Asa compared to Gomis is bang average at best

Beating any team that contains that arse Grant Holt is always good. Well done the boys. Sounded like Cousins provided the goods again at times too.
Rather coincidentally, I was in a cab last night and after I told the driver that Dagenham were [SwearFilter] this league, the cabbie told me that his mate’s son was Jack Barthram (no, me neither) who is a right back for Barrow. Claimed that he’s on 40k a year. If true then Barrow are spending a lot on their squad and for the way their team is going, could be in a spot of bother if they go down. Especially if they’re playing to 800/900 home fans.

Poor Grant. Can't see how he would have ever upset anyone.

Re: Barrow v Dagenham match thread
Not panicking yet. Still think this team can cut it, ady has only had a few weeks and despite the scoreline yesterday, you can see improvements! Said for a while we need a couple of guys who can provide ball into the box.. We have 3 and a half decent strikers.. Holt looking sharper and fitter each game, Yusuf looks promising.. Byron improving but still lacks confidence..almost fearful at times challenging and white.. He is my half striker.. Tall guy who can't win a header, flaps in front of goal.. Given time he could be OK.. Maybe a super sub? Defence is probably one of best we have had in a while, gomes will be the stand out player, he works bloody hard, good with his feet and quite useful with the ball.. I would be [SwearFilter] off if I looked up and there was nobody to pass to!new loan guy should have been on from halftime.. Looks fast, physical and had some desire..despite being a loanee.. From what ady and grant and the team said Friday.. They really are making massive changes, at training, at hs, food, the community etc.. Foundation building.. No injuries to report? When was the last time that happened?/apparently injured lads almost get physically punished for being injured and have to work twice as hard. Previous powered didn't even ask them to report to training!!!! I'm quietly excited about what the future holds.. We just need folk to believe and get the kids back interested! Can't wait for Wrexham.. I'm pretty sure we will see a far better showing than yesterday..

They are now. Every Friday the lads have accommodation and will train at hs. Another positive move..RedWeb wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2017 5:01 pm So Barrow has a squad of players who don't like playing at home. Three defeats and 0 goals is ridiculous. Perhaps the players need to spend more time in the town, more time at the ground to get the feeling that it is their home. Just incredibly frustrating that each tremendous away win is being spoilt by the next home game.

I was enjoying a quiet, post-match pint in the X-Bar, when some big-boned oaf screamed at the match officials about his displeasure of their performance. Let’s keep it to the terraces please folks.

We've never found a midfield general to run the show - we were spoilt with Shez in there, but have not come close to finding that diamond in there. Gomez is shaping up well as the engine room, we just lack someone to pull the strings and who is happy to take the ball under pressure. Watched closely on Saturday and very rarely did our midfield 2 show any real hunger for the ball.
Re: Barrow v Dagenham match thread
I agree. Need a decent cm asap. Miss a bark boyd type. Someone who can get us goals - bit like baker and bond used to do. Bet these types of players dont come cheap though. Time to see how serious we are.
