An appearance clause can't be triggered by a player being sat on the bench, I can't believe I am having to explain this, it is a statement of the bleeding obvious.
Correct. In Jason’s case basically there was no point in him being on the bench because he couldn’t come on or it would trigger the appearance clause rather than the clause itself actually being the issue. No point naming a player on the bench who can’t come on........

Dixon the best shot stopper by a mile - capable of pulling off excellent saves, and regularly has, but sadly he can’t catch or kick (reliably or effectively anyway). Sort those things out and he’d be one of the best in the league. Was called up to England C not that long ago as we all remember.
Interesting to see if he plays now the new fella is in.
Yussef appears disinterested too often (sadly less so than Harrison just at the moment....), and he is no where quick enough. Something just not right about him for me. Pennock obviously isn’t a fan, so onwards and upwards.

It's not the strikers! give them the ball in the box and they will score. None of the forwards are scoring regularly and chopping and changing the front two in games won't change things because that is not where the problems are.

Yeah - right!
Which is why the need for a midfielder or two needs addressing urgently

Therefore; he's a liability!
There'll be plenty of defenders who play in the local leagues who can't tackle or head a ball.
Strikers who couldn't score if they were in a Brothel on a Saturday night.
But they don't get paid and they don' t play in the National League!

Our strikers have not functioned all season.
Even grant can’t hit the net.
I agree the service could be improved but I’m not blaming the midfield totally.
Proper wide players could deliver the crosses that Byron and grant will score from. Ady will sort this I’m sure. Midfield we have lacked a decent passer for 4 years plus but do they exist at our level? They do but are well sought after.
I’m pleased ady has signed a quality keeper. We needed one. Dixon a canvass and Moore was t the deal. We will progress but it was never going to be easy was it?

The goals Adi scored for us are in this montage.

Just a shame it never worked out here.

Not a clue who that is but its not the player I saw every time I've seen him this season. For the most part he's looked rusty, unfit and generally pretty poor. He looks a different player in the pre-Barrow clips on that montage though.

Yussuf has turned out to be a bit of an enigma. He's one of those players who's career bursts into life early but then seems to cool down. He burst onto the scene in the CN at Oxford City scoring goals like he was shelling peas. Just about every club in the Conference network was interested in signing him.
He ended up going into the EFL with Grimsby and made little if no impact at that level. Some saw it as a surprise when we managed to take him in pre-season but the fact that Grimsby supporters made more of a fuss about Clements joining on loan than they did, Yussuf leaving should have given us a clue.
I was really chuffed when he came and have been very disappointed with the way things have turned out. He's clearly pretty quick and can be clever with the ball at his feet. However he is a finisher rather than a creator and when you have someone like White as a front man (or have a team that plays with an orthodox Centre Forward role) its difficult to fit him in your team without pushing him wide and I dont think that is his best position. Additionally it has to be said that he's chosen to show case his skills only for brief periods in games adding to the view that he is more of an impact player. Hence we've tended to see him from the bench.
I think the jury is still out on whether he's the real deal or not. Solihull doesn't sound too exciting but the Moors do tend to play with smaller more mobile players within a less structured game plan. He may do well in that environment. It's a gamble but if it came off he could be the difference between staying up of not.
As for leaving us, he is certainly more skilled than some we still have, but for whatever reason has become something of a misfit or luxury we can no longer afford. So I'm disappointed but not surprised.

Guiseley have signed Luke Coddington on loan from Northampton (at Wrexham earlier in the season) so it doesn't look like Moore is going there.

Will they be able to find a shirt big enough to fit his squad number?

HaHa. I predict Dovers attendance tomorrow will be 1566. With 18 away fans and 26 Guiseley players sat in the stand
