At least he is somebody with a footballing brain and will do his best to keep us up.I also think he will better command the respect of the players and get them.playing as a cohesive unit.I don't think the players are that bad ,they just need direction from the manager, something which I am sure will happen now.I would also like to thank Scott Quigley for speaking the way he did.It gave us all an inkling of what may have been going on behind the scenes. He seems to really love playing for Barrow and was frustrated with the lack of success lately.I think we should all now get behind the team and hope we survive to fight next season in this league. A brave decision by the board.Hopefully we will see a more inspired team come Tuesday.
Come on the Bluebirds you can do it. :scarf: :scarf:
Spot on! In Kelly we trust!

That interview with SQ said it all. He is right though, let’s not have the negativity and back Kelly and the lads. We are still in touch we can still stay up. Onwards and upwards.

It begs the question, how did he make it through the interview process if he wasn't "aligned to our philosophies and culture"?
Were these questions not asked?
Did they not question the number of defenders he was signings?
Not time to get at the Board. They've made a great decision today - now let's get behind them and the team!

The correct decision for me. I suspect there will be a number of relieved players following this afternoon's announcement and harmony in the squad will improve because of it. I don't believe that Jolley was a motivator, quite the opposite in fact. And tactically he seemed to be very confused.

I think our squad is decent, only really lacking a target man. Long ball football will be of little benefit to us. We have more options in midfield now.

If Rob Kelly can get us playing in a settled formation and instil a bit of confidence in the squad there's no reason why results cannot sharply improve.

It may not be the right time to have a go at the board. But for all the stick that Dunn and Jolley have taken it has to be said that I wouldn’t trust our board to interview Dennis Nielsen and get a conviction

We need to go back to a 3 5 2

For me:

Dixon

Jones, Hird, Brough

Kay (LWB) J Taylor, Banks, Devitt Barry (RWB)

Quigs James

We needed a CEO with EFL experience IMO Unfortunately that experience comes at a price. No disrespect to Levi Gill he was probably the cheapest option to a position that is mandatory in the EFL

Glad hes gone, a complete fraud who was making it up as he went along, however weve made a complete mess of this season, all that was needed to start with was 3/4 new signings and an experienced league 2 manager, weve made such a balls up of just about everything, good luck to kelly, everything crossed he can keep us outside the bottom 2

Kelly's Heroes was one of my favourite films. We need that 'can do' attitude and let's have none of those negative waves!

Firstly let's say we would be not be in this league without the dedication of the Board including the Trust.
We were probably naive infact probably too nice.
It's now in our hands ,if we go down so be it,but let's hope we now see the effort to at least try and keep us up.
Hopefully the Chav will announce tomorrow limited capacities at football grounds and some fans will be allowed in.
Barrow fans are definitely a 12 th man as was shown against Cheltenham.
To the Board thanks what you have done so far in life people efforts are soon forgotten .

Hopefully that's the headline at the end of the season!

I have a good feeling about his appointment.

Yes agree. Good post.

The board will be learning valuable lessons here. Their heart is in the right place i.e they really care about this football club and if (big IF) we can come through this I really believe we will be stronger as a club because of it.
