Just looking at our remaining fixtures and even after 3 great results in the last 3 games, im not taking any fixture for granted. I'll be happy once we are mathematically safe !
We have -
Crawley - Winnable but not easy match
Grismby - for me a must win ! But don't lose !
Stevenage
Newport
Colchester - in free fall and we could be above them (even after Crawley game)
Carlise - playing as bad as Colchester atm!
Exeter - very tough match (top goal scorers)
Leyton orient
Port Vale
Im hoping we are safe by this stage of the season as we have Tranmere, Forest green, Exeter away and Southend at home !
Obviously 1 game at a time and we all hope a few teams around us keep dropping points.
Its gonna be a nervous few weeks but 6 points in these next 2 games would help !!!
Lot of people saying we need 4 wins to survive or 12 points. Honestly i don't know because we are hoping those around us don't pick up points but Grismby and Southend have both got 4 points in last 2 games to our 0 !
If we needed 4 wins i think looking at the fixtures that they really need to be in next 6 games but we really need to start creating chances again because the last 2 games have been poor.

If Kelly thinks that we deserved a draw yesterday he is seeing a very different game from me! The quality of our play was shocking, aimless hoofs forward, firing balls at chest height to Quiggley and Kay and expecting them to control them. Just playing Kay alongside Quiggley smacks of desperation, Josh is not a striker!
Kelly must coach the defence to "play the channels" because that's all Thomas & Jones do, and that is often done badly.
This is not a great squad but I do think we'll limp over the line and stay up but out of the whole squad I'd only keep Dixon, Davies, Banks and possibly Brough. Some re-building to do.

It was a strange interview - no way did we deserve a draw, the penalty was clear, and if he pledges to be more attacking in future games why didn't that thought occur to him at half-time yesterday? I'm surprised at the amount of people who seem to think we are home and dry because of those four wins - those last two performances have been as bad as anything served up all season, and if nothing changes we could be looking at a relegation six-pointer against Southend on the penultimate game.

I don't feel a lot of people think we are home and dry from reading responses. A lot think 4 win or 10 to 12 points will get us there. Or they are saying gut feeling they think we will get over the line - being as optimistic as possible. Me I'm one minute hopeful (not confident) & next minute in the depths of despair - today being the latter. Got to have a bit of luck like we got in our four match winning run but agree we also need to play better and get Quigs & Kay in the game more when we play them up front. Why should RK say we were awful and deserved to lose to the press and the wider world? Say what you need to say behind closed doors not to us. I certainly got the impression from yesterdays interview he was a frustrated man & the refs attitude after the game didn't help. Glad we have a 6 day gap between the next onslaught of games.

If Kelly is frustrated it`s his game plan and whilst people think having a back 3 makes you stronger it doesn`t , you need to press teams we are not doing that (midfield not energenic enough) and defence sitting too deep , this invites teams to attack and the grimsby game proved this, they nicked a goal and then you have to chase the game , change personnel and then it`s desperation time , yes against cheltenham etc it worked and we have had a lot of luck but we really have to start winning and i can understand why kelly is playing this way but sometimes you have to bite the bullet if it goes wrong then hey at least we were proactive !
I just hope we try to beat colchester but i`ve a feeling it will be "as you were ".

Probably as well the ref had gone - Kelly might have got into deep water. In any case what is the point of seeing the ref?
Yes you can vent your anger and ask him what he saw from a vantage point much closer to the event than Kelly, but what good does it do?
It can't change the result of the game.

Dont disagree with anything you are saying BUT, this is it now, this is the team and approach that will determine our fate.
Someone will go down with 46-48 points, I’m convinced of it.

Massive weekend for Barrow (2 games in 4 days)
Looking at other teams fixtures esp Colchester playing Bolton then us. 6 points would be fantastic at getting us up the league. I'd take 4 points this weekend tbh. Got to get points on the board esp now. I really don't want to be in the bottom 2 come monday 5pm !

Even if the doomsday scenario of losing both games occurred we couldn’t be in the bottom 2 on Monday unless Southend were to overturn a 20+ goal deficit on Saturday

Same. Ever since Southend stopped drawing 0v0 ive been really worrying that they’ll stick 20 past Carlisle

My numbers below. Point#, probability 23rd points is fewer than or equal to point# (to the nearest thousandth).
Colchester vs Southend and Barrow vs Southend massive games to come.

I really think he is trying to get as deep into games as possible at 0-0 and then make positive changes to go on and win the game. Its failed miserably as a tactic last two games because if we concede first we are in trouble.
Just as he looks at the opposition for the next game, they look at us. They see the tactic of playing for a 0-0 and have developed a way of countering it.
We are too predictable.
We do set up up not to concede 1st & it sets to the tone for the game, Before today's huge 3 pts I was looking at how we gifted Grimsby the win & more momentum & belief that they can survive, I'd much rather we go for their throats from the off while not being over exposed at the back, They selected 3 forwards when they hadn't won in many games & hardly scored before that 2-2 prior to our game, If we going for it sensibly & had them on the back foot they would'nt have grown more confident as the game went on & if we took the lead by being more adventurous their growing confidence would have took a huge hit & the table would look much better tonight.
Which Barrow starts on Monday?

Looking at the table, if we were to play our 2 games in hand now (obviously we aren't) but if we were to win those games we would go above 4 other teams and be as high as 16th I think. Just shows how there are a few more teams looking over their shoulders now. Another win on Monday would be huge for Barrow esp if Southend dont win tomorrow

Walsall, Colchester and Mansfield haven't won in their last 5 games - we have won 3.

9 points needed from 9 games to guarantee survival
