What were you expecting from the 4th worst team in the league.
Thats kind of the point Im making. Tom White aside we haven't strengthened in this area and for me this is the area where we need to bring in quality additions.
I'd imagine we need to shift a few out to facilitate this. Got lots (relatively speaking) of central midfielders on the books currently.

Yes we probably do. Just about every game last season we didn't control midfield possession and that is where many games are won and lost. Surely i cant be alone in seeing that bringing in proven quality in this area will bring about the biggest improvement for the team. Well thats my view from watching us last season.

To be honest I don't think there was much intent on keeping possession for long last season. I think new manager and a better focus on possession/moving the ball in midfield will bring our the best in players.

Thats the problem. We didn't win enough of that midfield battle. Its why we struggled to get a hold in games. Surely you could see that. That is what needs to be addressed.

Cooper stated he wants a midfielder in both of his blogs so I’m guessing it’s just about finding the right player for his system

For me we need two central midfielders who would we expect to start most weeks (and yes that might mean shifting some out) and then I think we can see our expected starting 11 and it would be just a case of more squad players. It’s coming together nicely but does definitely need at least 1 (ideally 2) quality signings in midfield

Jake Reeves has left Notts County saying he is going to a EFL club ,had a release clause stating he could leave if Notts County failed to get into EFL.
Announcement made as soon as the Monkey hangers won play off

Could be there or here.
I wonder if the club will make a announcement about Dixon etc end of the month.
Definitely need a decent midfield player not sure what Reeves is like .

You're not alone. I agree 100% with what you've written. A good midfield is key to any decent team. It is the main reason we were so good when winning the National League.

We know what you're saying. Let it go, man. He isn't coming back.

You obviously don't know what I'm saying! I would have thought it was obvious. I agree with Jonty that we need to improve our midfield. I'm well aware Rooney won't be part of it but that doesn't mean it doesn't need improving.

22 players signed with only Sea aged under 21. That means we’re already over- subscribed on players with the current rules stating a maximum of 20 players over 21yo allowed. Unless this rule is going to removed like the salary cap rule was then I guess we’re pretty much done except for a few young loanees.

IF Mike Jones is fit for pre-season and we have brought in a midfield hard man i can see Jason Taylor not being included in the 20 and concentrating on coaching. Similar with Lillis if we get a young keeper in. That would put us down to 20.
