Much improved team all areas and good performance.Great shame Devitt injury. We must keep everything crossed that any knocks they carrying don’t get worse while we negotiate next few weeks to when they have all facilities up and running to help them.Difficult job for manager at this moment when we all want to start season well but it a long road so no panic please.confident in manager such a boost to see the control and speed quite exciting at times.Great goal Sea developing well.Hartlepool a real test hope for win but in circs a draw and no injuries good result.Attendance as I expected lot of people regard this as Mickey Mouse cup and some may be on holiday away now we can travel..Apart from crap meat pies still being sold and still await fruit ciders in fanzone and tech difficulties with the TVs things are being sorted.

Thanks Adam. Is there a way to listen to Paul Hornby's interview?

And..... we have a keeper who lets his defence know if he’s not happy!
Very much so, don’t think he stops bellowing out orders for the full 90 minutes
Well to be honest he did my head in. Did he really think they could hear his bellows? Then his wandering around to almost the halfway line for what purpose?
He will get caught out if he continues to do that against more able sides.
Stay where you are supposed to be.

The lad doing the interviews is going to earn his keep this season. Coops is clearly a fan of 5 words when others (i.e. Evatt) would use 50.

Clearly still fuming at the training facilities situation. Thankfully that seems to have been sorted.

That would be nice

Yours doesn't work either. We've both posted the correct link. Problem is the forum not liking the word Scunthorpe so it mangles the URL and sticks in a swear filter :D

One ST holder who sits near me was allowed in by presenting his ST. Didn't know he had to buy a ticket for the cup games. Perhaps the turnstile ops need a briefing.

Enjoyed the game particularly second half when we pressed them more and could have scored more than the goal we got. You always worry at one nil going into injury time and sure enough they had a couple of half chances. Delighted for Dimitri in getting the goal - so helps with confidence. Might be wrong but I think that was his first actual league or cup start? Still gets knocked around a bit but only 19. Seriously impressed with Offrande's cameo. He does have it and I noticed he started to open up spaces for the other forwards after he came on. Agree though we do need another experienced striker to help the front line.

I like the way Farman commanded his area and made it clear to everyone what he wanted! (Defenders need that Holkerbird!) Great to see White back but Banks was outstanding. Arthur a bit hesitant at first but think he will come good. Brough was always causing issues down the left in front of me during the second half. Still my favourite player. Gordon a bit quiet so difficult to make a judgment there but definitely (for me at least) an improvement on James.

Great to see some people there who know me. Thought everything was well organised - no problems getting in using my iphone! Yes us 60+ can use IT. Crowd a bit low I thought it was around 1500 but agree with some that I think the covid situation does play on some peoples minds and that is understandable. Fanzone looks good and I like all the information on the walls but think it needs to be better protecting from the elements when winter sets in.

Walking out the ground quite late after the game group of kids messing around near ground asked me if I was from Scunthorpe - I told them the 46 had gone home. They accepted my answer, obviously detecting my Manchester accent I assumed and moved on. I thought to myself I still must have street cred ha ha.

Nightmare driving down the M6 with bollards everywhere but nobody working. Shattered when i got home but quite encouraged by what I'd seen.

Final question - I know its been discussed before but cant find the thread. By September we can only have 20 in the squad. Is that aged 21 and over? If so who is under that age in the squad at present? Also do loan players count in the 20?
