Don’t bite mate the clown doesn’t have your intelligence obvs. To actually state he’s going to take your future posts as being racist is a disgrace, and the mods should be banning him.

Oh my word! That line alone makes everything you have ever posted on any forum anywhere completely irrelevant and lacking in any credibility.

Honestly no idea how footballers making a very quiet peaceful protest against racism for a few seconds offends people so much.

Also had no idea that people were so interested/against “American Marxism” until offrande zanzala turned up at HS.

It’s quite a low bar, but this is perhaps the cleverest post ever on this forum. It will unfortunately go way over the heads of those people it’s directed towards even after you explained the deliberate irony further down the thread.

It’s got nothing to do with Marxism… it was started after a conversation between Colin Kaepernick and an ex American soldier who disagreed with the former sitting down during the national anthem to raise awareness of racism and they decided on taking the knee instead… which is what they now do. All sport, no politics.

I for one hope they keep doing it for as long as it takes. Clearly there is work still to be done.

The marxism comment grinds me , said by most people that have no idea what the word actually means. Racism is still around which is terrible , until it is stopped action like taking the knee has to be taken. Have a thought at what our own players from a likewise background will feel about this incident on Friday night. As well as the lad thats had the abuse. Trying to get the lads to train back in Barrow hard enough as it without an imagine off our town like this being presented. Lastly been to a few games where when the lads took the knee groans and boos rang out from the stands. I hope those that booed now feel very small and realise why the action is done before the games.

I doubt it's a case of mishearing - lots of other clubs' supporters use the 'zigger' chant. Unless someone has actually shouted something like "come on you ziggers" which may have been misheard?

No problem with the knee but I have seen sometimes the raised arm and clenched fist which cos I am old always reminds me and other associates of the days of Malcolm x and black power movement.Have seen it only on TV games so far.Would not
Like to see it at Holker .If people think I am racist fit that tough I shall stil sleep at night.

Fans arguing amongst themselves now over taking the knee, not just here, nationwide. The main argument against it is coming from many players and clubs who don't believe it has had an impact and that time and energy to promote racial equality can be done in other ways. Education / re-education. Judging by what has happened on Friday night, society has sadly got a long way to go. Any fans who heard it need to take a stance and step forward and help identify.
