Barrow v Walsall match thread
Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
It was most definitely two points dropped. We had got ourselves in front against a very solid defensive unit but it’s never enough and once again we concede against a wide set piece delivery. We cant deal with it and it’s been our achilles all season.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
Same old same old.We get sucked into giving away stupid free kicks. We should have won this game, but yet again we gave the opposition a chance. We must start scoring goals on a regular basis. Our strikers are not strong enough when going up against 6ft plus defenders.I am hoping we survive.Yes we play attractive football but when we get into the goalmouth area we have to be able to finish all those moves off with scoring. We have missed a target man since Quigley left and we waited far too long before we got one in .I am hoping now that we have got Holloway back we start scoring goals and stop commuting stupid fouls.
If we manage to survive, this team will need some serious rebuilding.I just hope we do as I am sick of all the crowing that Carlisle are doing and would like to put them in their place starting with the next game .They are now playing like we were towards the end of last season and that is the kind of form we need to rediscover.

Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
With the height we had today JONES PLATT CANAVAN BANKS BROUGH we shouldn't be conceding a goal like that it's absolutely criminal!
Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
It's abysmal hopefully Holloway will help us creep over the line.
Listening to Mark Cooper he sounds so despondent.
I cannot see him being sacked.
If we sack him we will incur further costs .
Let's say we sack him and whoever comes in fails to keep us up we would be in further financial trouble.
I think we will keep him relegation will.be a bad thing to have on a CV .
Where is Neil Warnock these days remember when he was manager of Scarborough and we beat them after they won FA Trophy .

The manager mentioned the wind again, the pitch again, and blamed individual errors. He refuses to take responsibility and I think that’s a lot of the issue, you can’t learn from your mistakes if you don’t believe you are making any. I thought he was a shrewd appointment, I was wrong.

Sacked at least five times in his career and left other clubs 'by mutual consent'.Pedro wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 6:36 pm It's abysmal hopefully Holloway will help us creep over the line.

You can't count FGR in that as he was sacked just before they went up which I still can't understand.Pedro wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 6:52 pmAnd holds the record for the number of promotions in Footballwalneyroad wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 6:47 pm

Doesn't beat about the bush. Tells it how it is. Always liked him.
Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
What responsibility does he need to accept? Was it him that gave a free kick away or didn’t challenge the ball?StephenD wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 6:46 pm The manager mentioned the wind again, the pitch again, and blamed individual errors. Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
[SwearFilter] pants poor. The stubbornness of the board to realise they have got it wrong again will lead to our near on nailed on relegation back to non league. I can’t fault the effort by the board in support and funding of the team, but there is something seriously wrong with their interview techniques coupled with a lack of football experience imho. Never to return to the giddy heights of the football league again.
In regards the words of another Cooper “just like that”

Re: Barrow v Walsall match thread
He doesn’t know his best team or formation. He’s too risk averse. He hangs players out to dry in public and erodes their confidence.bamber678 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 7:08 pmWhat responsibility does he need to accept? We obviously can’t afford to sack him and if we stay up by some miracle he will still be here until he gets a payout.
