Good meeting, strong questions, open and honest responses.

If you didn’t see it, just a quote abouts a minor celebrity (nothing like Ryan Renalds) involved in clothing or something who might want to buy into the 10% shares. PH said there’s plates spinning about potential investment, nothing solid, but something along the lines of, they want a sustainable club.
Not entirely sure you’ll be any the wiser. Like one of those old flick books put to a soundtrack recorded on a really dodgy cheap C60 cassette (all the fogies here will remember those).Adam29 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 8:50 pm https://www.youtube.com/live/zvKK94Uk8zo?feature=shared

All in all a very well presented qna. Sounds like Spence and others will be off.
None of the players out of contract were name checked but Iain Wood made reference to the two year cycle that we are coming to the end of and the inevitability that some players will look to move on either to a higher level or to earn more money elsewhere ._bluebird_ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 12:00 amWhat was said about "spence and others?"Bombadel wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 8:05 pm

No info was given other than there had been conversations which had been put on hold while they dealt with our current situations.

" I'm not naive we are not ready for league 1 but it would be a hell of a ride to get there one day." Exactly this.
The way I look at it is this - I am one of those who had just started my working life when we went out of the league in 1972 and was just retiring (a few years early) when we managed to get back in the league.
I honestly thought I would never see the football league again in my lifetime though always believed it would happen 'one' day. 'Since' we got back in the league there has been plenty of talk about promotion to league 1.
I believe 'that' promotion will come one day but, I hold with the same attitude I had during my working life-I hope I am around to see it. As you say, "we are not ready for league 1 yet" - in fact we are eons away because were still as yet in our fledgling years, consolidation hasn't even begun yet.
Time and patience is the key to growing our infrastructure and with that growing our support.
