Good win, deservedly in front at half time, played well, rode our luck second half and couldn’t get out. Held out for a win. Good team effort, looked tired at the end, probably needs freshening up for Saturday.

First half we came through on top and unscathed. Played some good football at times and looked good. They were always going to have that spell and we kept them out by hook or by crook. Struggled to get the ball stick in their half after the break with the game bypassing acquah, think he could have made that change ten minutes prior as they tide had well and truly turned by this point.

Overall a Really good battling display, proper gritty Barrow performance that. Someone text in mid game saying it reminded them of the non league days and backs against the wall performance and I agree! Whing must have handed out an almighty bollocking after that Crewe game because they look a different animal now, probably have been safe for a few weeks now but still fighting for points.

7 points from Notts County, AFC Wimbledon and Port Vale away, sensational.
Popular side since '03.

Amazing. A minor irritated whisper on sheep station , from James Partridge and one short text read out. Carlisle City got more coverage after the end of the Carlisle Utd relegation fest . Not happy about that .

Not had that much luck in games this season but second half they hit the woodwork three times at least added to that Paul Farman in inspirational form.
We got our noses in front deservedly so and clung on for all we were worth. :scarf: :scarf:
Definitely been Port Vale’s bogey team.
Jeez that ref was dire🥹
Time for a new kettle as I have taken my frustration out on the old one 🥾 🚮

If you bothered to listen they did say the interview with Andy Whing will be available on the Radio Cumbria X account along with the Carlisle on which also wasn't played as soon as they are available

Great first half, really outplayed them. We definitely missed having Spence in the second half though and we were starting to struggle and rode our luck a bit, but with a bit of resilience and a great game from Farman we've come away with another 3 points away!

Excellent win and deserved for the effort and determination even if we did ride our luck at times in the second half, but sometimes you earn it. First half in control and looked very assured on the ball and dominant. Second half they made three subs which made an impact and they went for it. We’d have lost that a month or so ago and caved but now have a lot more grit and resilience so well done to whing for getting that. Bodies on the line, blocks and tackles and some great Farman saves -
MOM without a doubt. We were hanging on but weren’t torn apart and kept our shape well.

Couldn’t fault anyone apart from the ref, dreadful. And his assistants. So many blatant pushes not given and a couple of bad fouls too. Hopefully Spence isn’t a serious injury we did miss him but I think second half was always going to be backs against the wall and defending for a bit.

I don’t think the effort wasn’t ever there but there was a lack of confidence, leadership and ideas and we do look a different team now. Manager deserves a lot of credit.

Another fantastic away win. Didn’t see much of the second half as it was all played in our half, away from the Barrow end. We controlled the first half and never looked worried. They made 3 subs at half time and looked more threatening, but still slow to move it from the back, which frustrated their supporters. Our effort was unbelievable, although I was worried that we were sitting too deep, but maybe they were just pushing us back.
The ref was poor, for both teams. Too many pushes going unpunished.
Farman was brilliant - I would keep him for another season, even if Stanway plays more often.
The scoreboard at the end of the match said 132 away fans in a crowd of over 5000, but there were clearly more than that. When I bought our 3 tickets on the gate around 7:25 I was told they had sold around 200.

Brilliant result against a team looking at 3rd place tonight, Port Vale fans unhappy with the starting line-up but happy with the 3 changes at half-time and a much better performance from them, it`s easy saying we sat back but Vale had to do something after a poor half from them and took the game to us, Paul Farman outstanding and after his remarkable save on Saturday again produced some excellent saves to keep the score at 1-0, Vale did come close several times but our defence(woodwork) kept them out, what a difference Andy Whing has made to the attitude of the players in such a short time. Hopefully Spence isn`t to badly injured and a very big shout to all the Barrow fans who travelled tonight great effort from you all.

We did our reaction after the game

With it being a 7:30 kick off and their game being 7:45 we split frequencies at 7 and both went right through till the end of our respective games

I had no Carlisle coverage on my show and vice versa on James’

Then I went and recorded the post match interviews pitch side to go on social media - as said during commentary and during build up and when I finished to hand back.
