Re: Grimsby town v Barrow match thread
Housh is right. Body language is everything. When we get a free kick in an attacking position , we shouldn’t be strolling to get forward we should be looking like we believe this is an opportunity to score.
Very few leaders or characters on the pitch. Foley, Scott smith and Gordon need to come on asap

Re: Grimsby town v Barrow match thread
75% of these players gave up weeks ago ! ,but people on here believed we'd get out of this!, I told many people I knew Earlier in the season that I thought we'd have a chance of going down but was more or less laughed at ,there's something in this group that is rotten, it's starts with Canavan his attitude is all wrong sent off 3 times, doesn't show any desire to push the player's around him and lead by example!
He's not on his own Barkhuizen, Mahoney talented footballers with no heart WHY we sign player's like this is beyond me ,I'll still be there next season whatever transpires BUT thankfully most of these will be gone!

Won't get another point all season
Re: Grimsby town v Barrow match thread
Yes, these players are a lost cause now.
I just hope the club have started preparations for next season in the National.

If Foley isn't happy then substitute at least 3 we've noth6to lose feel so sorry for people like Foley decent honest player !barrow1987 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 3:53 pm I get what Adam is saying about how important this team talk is but its completely irrelevant. These players don't care. There's nothing that can be said to make them work harder. They are getting paid no matter what so they'll be happy to just carry on as they are

Newport 5 points clear of us as it stands. Last game of the season will be no more than a testimonial.

Yes the board need to be looking at that now.
Identify managers who have what it takes in the national league. Let them make decisions on the players they want.
If we continue the way we have, with this head coach rubbish, we will be bottom half national league club for years to come
There is no way we are staying up.

Watch the video of Foley talking to the squad after he took over.barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 3:51 pmHasn't all season knows he's gone in the summer so couldn't give a [SwearFilter]. Not a club legend and never will be thrown the towel in too many times.
Canavan’s there chewing on a paper cup, looking down not saying a word.
Not even stood up, not stood next to the new manager as skipper, trying to get the other lads on board with words of encouragement.
Sat staring blankly at the floor.
Thats the captain of the club right there.

People were saying we were in trouble after half a dozen games, some in pre season. Of course someone told Hornby “they’re good enough, you don’t need much more, just a bit of coaching”……… 4 might be able to do it.blue nige wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 3:57 pm 75% of these players gave up weeks ago ! ,but people on here believed we'd get out of this!, I told many people I knew Earlier in the season that I thought we'd have a chance of going down but was more or less laughed at ,there's something in this group that is rotten, it's starts with Canavan his attitude is all wrong sent off 3 times, doesn't show any desire to push the player's around him and lead by example!

Re: Grimsby town v Barrow match thread
I agree but it's not just Wood when I listened to the board last week I felt demoralised because yes they're decent people but don't seem to have a clue about the EFL we seem to be really nieve at times, we need to get a couple of football people on the board even if they have no money we need people to help them out because that National League is demanding physically so we'll need yet another Manager and another new squad WHAT COULD GO WRONG!!Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 3:59 pm Just stop caring it’s so much easier.
