It’s a very good interview, says all the right things but then first interviews always do…..

Do genuinely think this should be a good move though, needs to get cracking on that released/retained list, get some of these under contract on the available for transfer list and pray some sucker takes them

Personally never listen to these interviews as they all say same thing usually, do well, make holker st a fortress etc etc. proof will be in what we see on the playing field week in week out, and that has to improve 100%
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

A 20% improvement would be more than enough.

Interviews are meaningless. It's achievements that matter. The only thing I would say is if he ends up keeping many of last season's players and he is going to play the high pressing game then he will need to get them a lot fitter because the current group aren't fit or fast enough to do it.

Maybe with all the Managers we had last year we could release a LP of. each Managers speech 2025-2026

And play 'Spot the Difference' between each track.
Don't let the old man in.

I agree that interviews should be taken with a large pinch of salt, but I think they should always be watched as it is usually possible to pick up some pointers about the interviewee. To me, Murray comes across as calm and measured, and under no illusions about the situation we are in. Time will tell if he is the man to sort it!

One big thing for me is that he didnt sound like he thinks of us as little ol' Barrow. Only thing that interests him is getting promoted.

And time is what he needs. He doesn't need any knee-jerk reactions if we lose a game or two.

Another great read from the Beans crew.........

If you have a read through the 'Murray Gone' thread on the Kiddies Forum it seems they really want Mark Cooper as their manager

He’s the manger not head coach

It’s really upsetting the Carlisle fans 😂😂😂
I think your wetting your pants a bit to much there my little friend.
We couldn't care less, and I for one actually hope he does OK for you guys. He was a decent player in his time he was here when we won promotion back to the FL back in 2006.
And despite there being a lot of noise about Hughes whether he stays or goes, its my gut feeling he will stay. And if he does go I don't think Murray would have been on the Clubs radar anyway.
