Will the budget for the new season be affected now that Tony has left, parachute payments won't last long and having players on 2 years contracts won't help, people buying season tickets and now one of the main backers leaving wouldn't go down well with fans, if major investment can't be found soon some supporters might get their wish for a full local side.

He puts a positive spin all the time he must have the DNA of a politician. After last season I am sceptical of what he said and without any new funding im yet to be convinced

Yes he does but we'll lose £500,000 this season ( unless a cup run), that'll be by his figures £1,000,000 next season and as for the 3rd !!!!, I only care about the clubs future but I'm not going to just bury my head in the sand ,I deal with the facts you can dress it up anyway you like but it's not good!

Sure the numbers don’t lie but context matters.

Clubs routinely lose money year on year it’s fact it’s highly unusual for a club outside the top six PL to break even so I wouldn’t worry too much.

That being said the parachute money is what could/would/maybe drive any promotion push and when that’s gone we’ll struggle like hell. In short we’ve got a year - two at a push to get back or else we’ll drift back from whence we came.

Counterintuitively becoming a “sustainable club” like many fan owned clubs all but guarantees long term stagnation at that clubs natural level.

Despite what some of the nay sayers say, I'm actually excited by the signings, I'm excited by the talk of the manager and his style of play!
The relegation is behind us now, yes it's heart wrenching but getting back to basics is what will take us forward

Can't wait for the new season to start, really hope the next generation of young uns come in and make some noise!!! Many things to look forward to and be positive about.

Ones thing for certain we would have had a ground sponsor by now. Wallbank admitted two potential ground sponsors pulled out due to us dropping out of the EFL

At least he did not look to recoup his investment
Not sure what he does in the USA it if he has a business he may be able to offset it against tax payable.

Either way we are all greatfull for his and the other boards investment.
