Looking at the video, and I know its a Blackpool side of things, we still need to be a bit stronger and more aware at the back. There are teams in the national league that will make us pay for some of the lack of concentration/awareness at the back.
Yes, you need look no further than the first minute, when no-one goes to challenge the guy on the left who crosses the ball. But before the 'negativity police' get involved, there were lots of positives on view as well.

It's funny listening to Evatt.
The most successful time was with us.
Ironically Murray looks like Evatt MK2.
If you read the Blackpool Forum they seem unhappy as they conceded against us and Fylde.
We are seeing one star on the wane and another rising.
For me need to win at Hartlepool and set the tone for the season.
We can win this league it's not about anyone else it's about what we do.
What a prize for the anniversary.
I would say more Paul Cox than Evatt

You won’t see a “Barrow-Calona” from us but if any team tries to turn a game into a fight against us they will get a blooded nose and the rest

I don't think there was one bad tackle in the whole game, Evatt is just making an excuse, yes we got caught a couple of times but we'll learn, personally I think we need another midfielder and a forward and then we'll be really competitive one thing if any team wants to mix it ,then God help them! 😂

Only seen the Radcliffe FC game and some highlights here and there but we are noticeably more athletic and certainly look physically more up for it this season. Tom Davies and Brad Roscoe were their centre backs equally imposing and physical and certainly no mugs but we definitely didn’t swerve any challenges. Big Inness got up hearing birds tweeting around his lug holes after a rather robust challenge but dusted himself down to go again.
Harper was very alert in sniffing out his opportunity yesterday and what a ball by Whitfield playing wide left in his best position, met perfectly by Innes Cameron.
Underestimate us at your peril I would say. We look a lean mean capable of fighting on the front foot machine.

Well that was my first pre season game and yes, we did get away with a few that should have been buried, and i do agree with some of Evo that some of the challenges may get pulled up in a game, but, that was same for both sides, we never shirked out of any 50/50. It was a very encouraging performance and we didn't lose any of our intensity with the subs made. Stand outs for me Olly Crankshaw and his double take look a like, MJ Williams, The Centra Half- Paul Kalmbayi, looks like a great signing and Rakeem Harper, clean slate.

How is Isaac Marriot playing as he was highly rated at alti with many considering him as their best player. As for Olly Crankshaw he seems to have played well today which is good but again I've been told a bit injury prone. Hope that's not the case for us - had enough of that last season.

Marriot was a real hard working midfielder something we've missed since Robbie Gotts left decent player, Crankshaw looks fairly decent not scared of taking player's on !

Is anyone else on this forum having to wait while the screen opens with an “Are you a Robot” check before you can read any posts.
I don’t mind this once, but it keeps happening as you change topics or scroll to the next post. Even worse, when you write a reply and post it, it pos up again to check you and once finished, you loose what you had written. Annoying and not necessary.
