I think some people are struggling with the fact we are in a stable financial boat and now can't blame being on the bones of our backsides for poor performances. PC has a long term plan. I'm not sure the medium to short term plans have been that successful. However I do know we are in the conference a year ahead of schedule. I do now know PC wants an improvement in performance. I know I do too. Then again I'm not expecting too much too soon. There are many reasons to be cheerful about being a Barrow AFC fan. Go on give it a try...you might just like it

I don`t like the way we are playing(don`t go away) but i would give edmo till xmas (the month thing is unworkable and frankly pathetic)see where we are then if nothings improved he has to go (just wish paul casson would retract his statement because it`s not helping edmo or the players and i can only see us getting dragged down due to these manufactured pressures. :scarf:

I can't help but think had we won that Fylde game none of this would be happening.

Edmo seems to set our team up to take the draw or try and scab a win. Hence us only ever winning by the single goal this year and Edmos poor cup record with the club .

In a cup match you can't set up like that. Youve got to get after it from the first whistle.

A tweet suggested Meeks was at FC united v telford last night..so the scouting continues despite these manufactured pressures

Why would we be scouting players from the bottom end of the league below us?

Maybe with his ex Telford connection he was there to see some old mates????

do you mean the "lower league" in which the likes of Jamie Vardy use to play!,come on Dave we are in a league higher but that doesn`t mean our players are any better maybe fitter(that`s open to debate).

What I'm saying is that it is very unlikely unless we are very lucky we will find better players in a league below us. If we really want to progress we need players either form our current league or higher. IMHO

Not at all, we should absolutely be looking to take the better players from the leagues below us. Don't forget Omar Bogle was playing in that league last season and he's someone everyone would love us to have signed. He's by no means the only example so to suggest we should just ignore the lower leagues is pretty foolish.

I'm not at all suggesting we ignore the leagues below us. If we were doing well then yes look to bring some players through from a league below, we would have the luxury of being able to do so.

However at the moment I think we should be looking for several better quality players and if Meeks really was scouting his time would surely be better spent looking at a higher level.

At the moment we have what were regarded as some of the better players from the league below which we won and they simply aren't doing the business at our present level.

Andy Cook was a conference North player last season.

We have done that, Grimes, Mellor, Haworth, Williams, but we are not progressing with them. Let's face it every new signing is a bit of a gamble.

By the way of the above signings, not sure how many were Edmo's choices.

Is there something that makes you think they may have been somebody else's choices?

You can sign players from the lower leagues outside the transfer window (don't know the exact wording of that rule), so it'd be more for someone to come in straight away.
