Used to work at Study Centre therefore had a 'Room With a View' to be proud of.
Registered for forum in the nervous hours leading up to travelling to the playoff finals at Burton, however have followed the Soccer since the doldrums of mid 70's.
Seen many ups & downs over the years, thankfully mainly ups over recent years & sorry to all you newer supporters, but this season comes nowhere near to the lows we have seen in the past.

Correct JC! It's a description the true Cajuns are proud of but other States use as a kind of north/south derisory divide. Bit like 'you lot' v 'our lot' here but PC is a wee bit less tolerated in the US than it is here. At least it was then.

Just to clarify this:

Perhaps I should point out that the reference to Coon is not a slur on the black people in any way. If I add an apostrophe leading ... 'coon ass ... it is the short Americanism for RACCOON, in full, meaning "Raccoon's bottom". As with the 'GATORS (Alligators) but the Racoons are the most prevalent suburban MAMMAL down there with (Edit) their bums poking above the dustbins ... sorry, trash bins, when they are foraging for food. Hence the terminology.

Mike Otto, fan since Mickey Carroll's screamer against Enfield, you all know the one I'm on about!! Also had the privilege of pulling on the (not so iconic) black and white shirt a few times about 10 years ago. Memorable for me maybe not so much for those watching
