Here's the latest official statement:

'Following the request from the complainant against Mr. Dave Bayliss the Barrow AFC Manager as a result of an incident at the conclusion of the Gainsborough game on Saturday 14th September a meeting was arranged for the two parties to meet.

This meeting took place prior to the Colwyn Bay game on Tuesday 17th September. After a very amicable meeting which was at his request he asked to withdraw his complaint as he wanted to bring this matter to a speedy conclusion. Both parties have accepted that aspects of their behaviour on the day were not of the standard they would from expect each other and as far as each of them is concerned the matter has come to a satisfactory conclusion. Both parties have expressed their wish to get on with their respective tasks of supporting/managing their team.

The club is pleased that this incident has been brought to a satisfactory conclusion for both parties who can now concentrate on what is important, ensuring the best possible results for Barrow AFC.'

Satisfactory conclusion?

What about the outburst on Radio Cumbria?

Surely the club is going to discipline DB for that at the very least, or is it being conveniently forgotten?

Satisfactory conclusion or not, that statement is so appallingly written, its unbelievable.

An apology would be a start.

There was of course one briefly on Sunday but that was retracted (see page 1 of this thread). I take it then that our newest Director's personal view (that an apology from the club was warranted, the language was "unacceptable", that the "club takes this very seriously") was not shared by the majority of the other Directors?

Got to wonder if a fan started effing and jeffing on the terraces on Saturday in front of families and young children as DB did last weekend if they would be treated with such leniency?.

Absolutely unbelievable and completely unsurprising at the same time. How depressing.

Well there is no surprise in the statement released from the club did anyone really expect anything else as soon as Mr Bayliss was not suspended from his duties on Saturday night it was obvious it was going to be brushed under the carpet. My worry is how far the BOD would allow this man to go before any action is taken against him, he has already assaulted a player on the pitch (if it was a fan this would have resulted in a banning order at the very least) now he has moved on to the fans of the very club he proposes to care for.

I hope there are changes very soon right from the very top as I do believe that the people in charge of OUR club do not care for the fans or there opinions and would rather allow Mr Bayliss to ruin what little good reputation we have left.

http://www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk/news/ar ... 64367.aspx

For a considerable time the club and directors have worked with Rob Scott in an effort for him to accord with an acceptable standard of conduct, knowing that he had self acknowledged difficulties which he was working to resolve.

Given Rob’s failure to improve and the circumstances relating to Gross Misconduct during the Nuneaton home fixture led to the disciplinary panel concluding there is nothing to suggest he was likely to change.

It is therefore with regret Rob’s employment with the club has been terminated in accordance with the club’s disciplinary procedure.

Rob has appealed the decision and on the basis of the information he has provided the appeal has been rejected.

In the meantime the club will make no further statement until this process concludes, which may take a couple of weeks or more.

The club appreciates and understands the fans frustration in not knowing the detail relating to this situation and thank them for their loyal support at this difficult time.

In looking forward to the weekend’s fixture we ask for our fans continued support to manager Paul Hurst, players and everyone at the Football Club during this period.

According to tonight's EM the BOD were due to meet last night (Wednesday) to discuss Bayliss's outburst on Radio Cumbria.

Anybody heard what punishment (if any) they decided on.

Uncle Peter - where are you?

I'm here!

I'm not able to comment until matters have been fully finalised.

I'm not being vague or evasive, it would just be unfair to make any comment when matters are ongoing.

As soon as we can, we will issue an update in the official site, and I'll post a link on here.

Thanks for coming on Pete.

That answer is fair enough.
