Well I did originally think of AFC Furness, the team of the Furness Peninsula. It just gets ridiculous thinking of names/areas you want to cover that could possibly drum up more fans for Barrow, so I came up with Cumbria. Fylde fans might not understand the Lancashire link but our postcodes should give that away. Given so many owners have been seen to change club names/colours/etc. at the time of the takeover, it was asked if Mr Casson would make such a change. Thankfully Barrow AFC it is. He would never change the name to drum up support beyond LA14 land.

AFC Fooled evict Big Carlos from the house, I wonder who is next up for eviction???

Prior to your club becoming part of our fixture list - I wasn't even aware of its existence...

I was referring to climbing up the leagues relatively quickly

Funny seeing the Barrow fans trying to say how little AFC Fylde are... We may be a small club but we are still competing with the likes of you. So does that make you equally as small? You may have a bigger attendance than Fylde but it should hardly count when 90% of Barrow fans are absolutely clueless.

Wimbledon had a pretty meteoric rise with the crazy gang in tow and beat the big boys BUT it didn't last very long and their demise came quickly thereafter

90% of Barrow's fans are probably 'clueless' - including myself - regarding the history/traditions of your club. Your club is also competing with the likes of Stockport County - who like ourselves, are an ex Football League Club. So well done to you...

We are only speaking the truth regarding your clubs size. We've been around these parts for so long we have seen all manor of clubs come and go. From the giants of Luton and Stockport to the climbers with money Crawley and Fleetwood, and the really small clubs that are here on merit along with the rest of us. We have also seen the change from those clubs here on merit to those here on money alone, with small fan bases. These clubs all follow the same model and if they fail to gain promotion and their fan base does not grow expectationally they eventually start to sink, re Brackley, North Ferriby these last few seasons. Fylde might be able to take advantage of the disillusionment at Blackpool but if the fan base does not grow fast your owner will start to feel the pinch, especially when the MIll Farm ground becomes Fylde's new home.

Don't get your pants in a twist over fan comments, Fylde are small it's a fact but there is nothing wrong with that we've played smaller. Non-league fans are often very proud of there clubs regardless of size. Your owners approach has more to do with bad feeling then the club itself or the fans. Fans I had the pleasure of chatting to at our away game at Kellamergh Park where very nice unassuming which is not the persona of AFC Fylde or some of it's online fans. It has been mentioned elsewhere on this board but it seriously looks like he is building the next Rushden & Diamonds, if it is enjoy it while it lasts and be prepared. I hope for the fans sake it is not. R&D are gone consigned to history and their expensive ground is all that is left of them and that will soon be demolished.

I didn't realise there was a campaign against AFC Fylde's new ground, obviously money talks.

3 actually. MK Dons are in League 1.
