You can't leave all that to a couple of hours before a game.
I wonder if the Homeless Shelter would be glad of them if that's the case? They are providing meals for the less fortunate during the holiday season.

Nearly 6 hours before not a couple, but I don't disagree with what you are saying in general, in this case. Certainly the Homeless Shelter a good shout and yes it would be nice if we had any foresight at all, ever. Another nice gesture would be to perhaps at least cover a proportion of costs incurred.

However, in terms of the timing of the postponement, how we got have done that differently, differently to every other club, and we were about the earliest, I don't see.

Yes Mr New Guy, those same "fans" that kept going through the dark days so you have a team to support.
There's nothing wrong with fair criticism, That's how things improve hopefully.

I doubt they would be ordering the food at 9am on Boxing day morning---or cooking it after that time either that's why I am of the opinion that food would be wasted.
There's no problem with the timing of the postponement, done as it should be. it's the lack of anything to replace the game and make something of a bad job that is worrying.

The burgers, buns and anything else that would go off was taken down to the homeless shelter this morning! Top effort for all those involved!
And on the 7th day god created football

If organised correctly with a bit of planning plenty would have turned up including the 12 of us (more than a hanful) would have gone, we now drinking elsewhere.

Well that's good to hear. At least some good has come out of this appalling weather.

It wouldn't be 250 burgers. Those are sold on the terraces.
Hospitality usually does meat and potato pie and peas.

Club will have lost money today with previous ordered food. That's food in corporate I'm on about not the burger van, not arsed about them.
Get a few in drinking and losses are less. Easy to work out.
All businesses will lose occasionally but can be less losses with a bit of planning
