88 minutes. 3-1. Game over. Left the ground to START THE CAR. Turned on BBCRC Barrow 3 Tranmere 4. What the $%&"!

Last home game I saw was back in November. Now a different Manager, but same %"&^!!!

Still no shape. Still no width. Everyone packs the middle, left and right 1/3 of field not used by Barrow. Schoolboy stuff. Wingers, remember them? They used to hug the touchline, remember Stan Mathews and Tom Finney. Oh, but Barrow play them in the middle. It's the new way.

And by the way, what was our formation? Anyone know? 1-10?

Grand still hoofing it miles in the air to Cookie. 10% chance of him winning the ball. Hello, can you not control the ball and make a simple short ground pass. Football basics. And when 'the hof' comes up for corners, he jogs back to his defence position, where he's supposed to be, usually arriving too late.

Who was playing mid-field? Anyone's guess. No generals. No ball players. Cowps doesn't cut it, lacks the necessary skill. Pilks plays like a fairy and when ARH was substituted, guy next to me said "didn't know he was on".

Jason's gotta go. He chases, that's about it. A team can't carry a penalty taker alone.

Frustrated 'Yes'. Why? 'Cos 1700 happy Barrow fans, including myself, did not deserve to go from JUBLILATION to ARE YOU KIDDING ME by their team conceding 3 goals in the LAST 7 minutes, all of which I missed, as the Game was over, so I thought.

This example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is something even England's cricket team would be proud of.

I can't ever remember watching a Barrow team cave in like that with that amount of time remaining (perhaps V Lancaster about 15 years ago....at a push) The defending near the end was absolutely shocking, and by defending I mean from midfield back, that wouldn't have happened with a 2016 version of Kevin Procter in there.
Them players aren't kids, they're (on the whole) experienced footballers & simply have to take responsibility for what goes on in that situation........3-1 up with 7 minutes remaining should've been game over in anyone's books.

Can't understand how anyone could lay blame at Dixons feet today, it was three very good finishes from Tranmere, but they shouldn't have been allowed to get in a position where they had them chances in the first place.

I think that game will have proved to Paul Cox who needs to go and what we need.

Well done to Tranmere though for not throwing the towel in at 3-1 down with minutes remaining.

An astonishing collapse.From the KO we were second best.A difficult pitch,yes but it was the same for both sides and we looked slow.No blame attached to Dixon for any of the goals.Pilks seems a shadow of the player he was last year and as for Mellor words fail me.I don't know how we got to 3-1 but we did and it was comical how we ended up with nothing.
Lets get this season out of the way surviving in this league and let Paul Cox get his own team together and see how we go.A desperately disappointing day in front of a healthy crowd which won't be as large for the next home game.

Being based in the south I only saw Barrow a couple of times last season and it was obvious to me that without strengthening the team it wouldn't be good enough to survive in this league. My hopes were higher after several new players were signed but, sadly, almost all of them have turned out to be complete flops. I don't think any manager would get much out of the current group. They desperately need to sign a few better players because we won't survive with the current group.

Mellor absolute sh!!t and no way is he good enough along with 10 others, apart from Cookie and Ashton they all need clearing out, no passion, no balls and a disgrace. Nick with present set up we will not survive.

I like Ashton he is a hundred percenter but today he gave away the penalty and failed to clear for their second (?) I think. Poor show.
