Mickey Moore was placed on gardening leave from BAFC As you quite rightly stated the position he held briefly at Chester was a voluntary role. As far as i am aware he has not taken up paid employment anywhere else so he will still be paying paid by BAFCliverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 3:31 pm Speaking of managers are we still paying for Micky Moore last I heard he was briefly volunteering at Chester? That was a a long contract as well.If by some miracle our team keep injury and suspension free and get the required minimum points points to keep us up The negative posters will have nothing to moan about. As Paul Casson took on this club as a sort of of memorial to his father I don’t buy this theory among some critics that it’s all an underhand plan to wind club up ending in relegation and worst scenario proffered sale of ground for handsome profit.

We seem to be poor at contract management,if I remember right we did the same with the player from Oldham Mellor?liverpoolann wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 3:31 pm Speaking of managers are we still paying for Micky Moore last I heard he was briefly volunteering at Chester? That was a a long contract as well.If by some miracle our team keep injury and suspension free and get the required minimum points points to keep us up The negative posters will have nothing to moan about. As Paul Casson took on this club as a sort of of memorial to his father I don’t buy this theory among some critics that it’s all an underhand plan to wind club up ending in relegation and worst scenario proffered sale of ground for handsome profit.
Good job he does not run his business this way.
Paul Casson interviewed in the Sun ! Bought the club after having a few drinks.
Let's see what happens but if his promises were plotted on a graph they would be going South.

Re: Player shortage
Pedro, I honestly believe you have some valid points (inbetween the nonsense) but do you really think it does any good banging on about the same things over and over and over....?
The one above regarding the Sun interview seems to be one of your favourites at the moment. Think about it for a minute, no matter what the Sun says in the interview, do you honestly believe that on one drunken night out Paul Casson decided to buy the club, made a few calls to the Keens, his bank manager, and bought a plane ticket and woke up in the morning with a banging headache and being the proud owner of a football club?
I think it’d be more than likely he spoke with friends about looking into buying the club and then employing a company to inspect the stadium, an accountant to look at the books and then the long process of organising a forum meeting and putting his request out to BAFC members to vote on.
Just skimming the surface there but it’s hardly how you portray it is it?

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I believe the differences between our two millionaire football club owners, for example, are the difference in clout, i.e. wallet, promoting ones main business and ones own lifestyle agenda or other such pet subject, thus extending and holding the interest in a club rescued by a white knight E.G:

Watching that youtube clip just made me feel like I really wanted a nice sirloin steak and chips.

I have no idea what you are saying there, Just showing us more of what is happening at your club. A totally different set up, far more resources and a lot further developed than we are. Re: Player shortage
There is the point. Something that can be achieved from a hitherto cashed strapped Club when the White Knight has a real purpose, albeit as a promotional tool, but also pushing along a 5 year plan for the club that so far is on schedule. Not apparently, empty promises that most of this thread contributors are pointing out.Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 7:52 pmI have no idea what you are saying there, Just showing us more of what is happening at your club. If I'd read that report in the Beano I might have been more inclined to believe it.
Re: Player shortage
We need a few players. Our current bunch lack the balls to do it....and some couldn’t give a crap.
Ady is a decent guy and manager. He will keep us up,
A few wins will do it.
Mr Casson release the funds next season to ady pennock. He will get us in there .

Re: Player shortage
Fixture pile up alert as we face the prospect of 3 games a week. That is a massive ask for any team yet even more so for such a small squad, yet that side of things doesn’t even feature in this article.

Re: Player shortage
At the moment, Paul Casson's only interest is his fight to keep his business afloat.Pedro wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 6:31 pmSurely the penny has dropped Paul Casson has no longer any interest in Barrow AFC.blue nige wrote: ↑Fri Mar 02, 2018 4:14 pm
This cost cutting is now a joke if our board (Andrew Casson ) can't see that if we don't recruit we're going down then he's a bigger fool than I thought he was .
The biggest worry is Pennock accepting this situation surely when he applied for the job he must have asked about getting more players in or is he just here for the short term?
The Red Adair of football Andrew Casson has been sent in to wind us down, strong and stable that's his motto.
Relegation will cut costs further
No need for that imperative replacement for Paul Ogden
Part time football players
Part time CEO forgot we have not got one
Part time Commercial Manager ,who is it now?
In all honesty what can Adi do?
We keep hearing they will back the Managers I think they mean their Managers will have their backs against the wall.
And I don't mean Barrow AFC.
They'll be no money getting pumped into the club for players, the stadium or anything else.
If his current plight doesn't improve, things could become far worse than the recent cut backs...

Re: Player shortage
Surely those posting about various dire prospects including Paul Casson pulling his money out of Barrow AFC need to come up with some proof or authentication of the various lines they keep pedalling. To continually keep banging on in the same mode is disrespectful to the owner and is damned annoying to the fans, well this one at least. I know the forum is for debate but some of the stuff posted on here is nothing short of ridiculous.
