They league should award us the points if Dover were given an alternative.
Anyone recall the Ebbsfleet? game a few years back where the Tuesday night game didn't kick off until 9pm? A wagon had shed a load of beans across the motorway but they still got here----and won us.
They didn't take the easy option and turn back.

I’m also hearing Daggers and Sutton games also off as they were also due to travel by train . Apparently some poor person jumped in front of a train in Milton Keynes and it caused chaos on the train lines .
This is from there website and if true football must come second.

Sad as that may be (and it is of course very sad), it shouldn't be any negating factor in what a shambles it is for Dover to be setting off at 9.30 from London for a 3pm in Barrow...

The obvious thing is to travel the day before, but if clubs are trying to save money they travel on the day. I don't blame Dover, it's one of those things. Don't forget there are other games called off because of the disruption, but for it to happen today is unbelievable.
Yea but setting off at 9:30am the latest possible time is stupid.
By all means come by train but why not get an earlier train to make sure?
Apparently if they set off at 8:45am they would of made it, League should take a stand and award Barrow the win.
Club offered all sorts of arrangements to get them here and back, Dover just didn’t want to play us

Does anyone honestly think the League will award us the 3 points?

Can't see it happening
They might get a fine and at worst a fine+pts deducted ... But they won't give us the win as that's not fair on other teams. For example imaine if we got in to the playoffs by 2 points and 3 of those were effectively given to us.
What's annoying is that we have been effectively 'fined' as well - loss of revenue and interest could have cost us tens of thousands. There will never be a way to put a figure on this.

If true that OUR club has bent over backwards and offered to assist them to get here albeit a later kick off, then they should be held accountable! Sorry for the person who has sadly lost a life but it is not a legetimate reason for the Dover team to say no surely? Feel sorry for the club who have made massive efforts to make national non league day a special occasion on the back of an amazing run by our team. Well done to the Dover fans who actually managed to get here.. obviously Dover don't care about their own fans..
I am sulking, I'm selfish I know but I really was and always do look forward to the footy

This is the bottom line and enough evidence for the league to act accordingly, i expect Dover to be punished for this. The potential long term financial damage to the club due to Dover's abecadarian actions is cruel.

This is why a national division at this level makes no sense.
Three southern teams can't make it to northern teams today.

I didn't know so many teams travelled by rail. I thought it was by exec coach.

And Morgan Fay who sent an awful message to Anthony Jeffrey (one of the Dover team) needs to have a word with himself.

I don't know why they couldn't have just taken taxis to Barrow when they knew of the delays at MK. OK very expensive, sure but they should be doing whatever they can to get here. The fine should be big enough to be a deterrent for next time.
If they get a slap on the wrist and a small fine, that will be worse outcome.
