I don’t think it’s a player these savings you mentioned are paying for. More likely Iain Woods salary a position I support and one Tony Shearer admitted at the Q&A should have been created and filled two years ago

I make it Anya in the ticket office - the Bar Manager who was from Blackpool - the Commercial Bloke who we got from Oldham and - Simmo the Media Manager - that’s quite a turn over considering we have such a small staff.

Just remembered also Levi our former Chief Executive
Two Anya and the commercial bloke left for other jobs. Hospitality and Bar manager and Levi were sadly not up to the job. The Simmo one and reasons given are puzzling IMO. Smacks of cost cutting to me and looking at a cheaper option IE Matty Dodd. His Dad Russ (club secretary) did video interviews in the past maybe they are going back to that ?
Watching the video interview with Pete Wild after last nights game on the club website it look like it’s going to be Dodd and Dodd doing the media duties.

Both Anya and Jamie left for employment with EFL1 clubs but they were replaced.Albeit with people who had less football league knowledge and experience. But thats for you guys to decide ( possibly on a higher salary too)
Simmo , with his experience and knowledge will ,no doubt , remain in the football industry.

So has Matt Dodd officially been appointed as media manager or is it 'as and when' to complement his video recording business?

Probably hiring him as and when required with his dad Russell club secretary complimenting him by conducting interviews when available

Think Mark S revamped the programme content as well which i think has improved massively in recent seasons so hopefully the standard will be maintained. On the subject of programmes, when I renewed ST at the club there were boxes of unsold programmes in the reception. Surely this is waste and an area the club could look at making savings. Either a full season subscription for a printed version or digital online. Doesn’t help collectors i know but it must be costing the club who are overestimating how many they will shift

Not disagreeing with waste side of things Jonty but I would assume a lot of them programmes will be left over from corporate as they are part of the corporate package.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Hmm- these looked box fresh- lots of them. Obviously the club will know if it remains viable but a lot of clubs are now moving entirely to digital format and only producing printed copies for paid up season long subscriptions. I used to try and buy one every game but its a sign of the times with digital / online taking over.

The programme looks good but in terms of content it's fairly poor especially compared to other clubs, it could be so much better.

Ive always thought the digital version should be free if it was read by more you could make far more advertising revenue from it. Some people still like a physical copy

I recall at beginning of last season went to office to get prog prior to going in fanzone and the progs had not as yet arrived.Simmo was in the reception ringing up to find out where they were. The delivery had been held up in traffic. He told me we had got a very good deal with the firm providing them.Believe they were printed some distance away think he said Derbyshire.Anyway we may not have lost as much on them as you think if that so.

For one of our Friday night matches - can’t remember which one, Colchester or Newport - we didn’t have a programme - I was told the Printers didn’t realise the game was on a Friday and they were delivered on the Saturday. I seem to recall they were later given out free by the club.
