They haven't much idea, but we are just as bad. Got to improve second half and beat this lot.

Goodwin makes it even more painful to watch

I like Goodwin.
Re: Barrow v Scun-thorpe United
Only positives are Eardley looks a decent acquisition!
And we never looked like conceding.

Not good to watch, but if we scrap a 1-0 win here I will be happy. All about staying up now.
Some individual poor performances so far but luckily, they are matching us for that

There's nothing intuitive about how Quigley and James play off each other. They are just 2 forwards ploughing their own furrow; no link-up play, no connection whatsoever.
Don't let the old man in.

Very bobbly and unpredictable. This is also why we are going longer today. We know if we try and play from the back, we won't have full control over the run of the ball. Playing the conditions. Need to scrap this out.DaveBarter wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 2:58 pm Wonder how the pitch will stand up to it after days of frost mixed with several days of rain.

This for me. We have been shite all season and this has been the first time I have seen any sort of coherent plan or tactic. We are making ourself tough to beat. We have 45 minutes and we look better than they do. I am fairly content if not a little bored, but that is fine.Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:53 pm DId some on here just expect us to carry on with the same approach that has not worked for us? Totally satisfied with that first half. It may not be pretty on the eye but we are clearly trying to eliminate the threat of losing the ball playing it out from the back. You can see its working. They havent been able to press any of our defence in possession which has been an issue. Getting that sorted first was crucial. Just need to be a little bolder in attack and we can go on and win this.
And on the 7th day god created football

Yep agreed. First time in a while I feel pretty confident we will go on to win a game.bigmac95 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:57 pmThis for me. Awful game, awful pitch. Game is there to be won; hope we don’t leave it too long to change things (whether that’s formation or personal)
