Totally agree this under 16 rule ( if it's called that) is absolutely appalling, I and a few other's on here would never have been able to watch Barrow!
There are no EFL rules stopping us as a club from letting these kids in ! To be honest I can't see any reason for it apart from somebody trying to be seen to deem themselves important!

Agreed. I used to go to the match on my own as a 9-10 year old and would hang around outside the dressing room after the match to get the autographs of players like Tommy Cahill, Billy Gordon, Dave Proctor, etc. (wish I had kept the autograph book!).

Surely the new away area solves the previous problems of the youth at the fence gesturing & throwing stuff, So let the u-16 back in & support the team they love.

Example I personally snuck in for years at both the RL & Holker St as most kids did back then, I followed my peers as they do today, I financially support the club as & when I can, This wouldn’t be happening if I was banned yrs back.

2905 Barrow supporters in August (school holidays) isn't a bad attendance. When Wrexham, Bradford, Mansfield etc come to town it'll be 4000 plus !
Win games and more people turn up and I'd expect a massive crowd for the Wrexham match.
At times today we were fantastic to watch, quick passes and the new lads have 100% improved the team. Few wayward passes but overall we bossed a team that ripped Notts county apart last week. Gardner could have had 4 and really should have scored at least 1 today. 4 goals in 2 games, 2 conceded by 2 individual errors (need to cut that out) and most importantly 6 points ! Go back 2 seasons and everyone was losing their minds over results and how we played. Next few weeks is a test - 2 big away matches then Wrexham at home, Harrogate away (do we ever get points there ?) Then Morcambe at home - see where we are then but up to now im impressed

It does solve the problem when teams bring small away followings like today and they are all in the new stand. The acid test will be Wrexham at home when they fill the away end to capacity and just a twenty foot no mans land separates the fans

A very professional performance especially 2nd half. Sutton are huge aand very direct and are always a threat. However, 2nd half they tried to keep their slender lead and it but them.in the behind. 2 very good goals. Acquah did brilliantly for his goal, strength, pace and great finish too. I like him. Proctors goal was also quality, well done Foley for both assists. Tiensia looks a handful and could be a gem albeit will also frustrate the popular side I'm sure!! I loved the way he battled for the ball back after a trick went wrong. Great to turn ghat around today. Gate seemed fair seen as though they only brought a handful and it's middle of school hols. Looking forward to Accy now, let's get noisy and bring home the points. Got to say ground looks so much better, well.done everyone. Keep those fist pumps going Pete.

Just turned on radio C and the commentators are outraged that ref only played exact amount of stoppage time in spite of substitution etc. The furore has gone on for 5 minutes now (and we still have Paul Simpson to come)

I thought they were excellent when a man down protecting their lead. We struggled to make the extra man count and had to fight for everything.
Tiensia and Proctor made a difference when they came on. Like the look of Tiensia and when he came back to win the ball back- that’s what we want to see. Love to see direct players with pace. Agree with mom for Garner and I’m sure the keeper got a fingertip to the shot that crashed off the bar.
Got there in the end with two well taking goals. Acquah did well from a tight angle and not sure who put in Proctor it was a perfectly weighted through ball to put him in. Just got a toe poke on it

Think everyone will find this is gaffers goal as well. Not the only goal but the first goal as per last season was let’s get 50 points on the board as quick as we can and then see where it takes us

I'll stand up for Tom White who is a good, hard-working, committed midfielder.

There seemed to lot of slipping at the HS end of the pitch. Are the sprinklers overdone or was the grass a little longer than usual?

Sound performances in all parts of the field - Garner a worthy MoM but there were others for whom it would have been equally well-deserved.

Not a classic performance for much of the game but lots to interest and we saw further examples of the talent and promise among this year's crop of new signings.

2good results the only downside is the poor attendance, less than 3000 for the first game of the season , if we're going to cut the 1.5 million loss then we need more fans, if you want a decent team then get off your backsides and support the team

Fair point maybe our own club's partially to blame. Yet again I had to vouch for a couple of youngsters who were trying to enter the ground with match tickets. We had this debate last season. Who's the supporters liason officer? And why aren't they doing anything about this situation? It beggars belief the club are positively discouraging their future supporters. You reap what you sow. To be fair to the turnstile operative he was pretty fair and even he said how frustrating this ruling is. Great win btw another flying start to the season.

This. Plus a number of other currently unresolved issues. My only comment is that it would have taken SAS Rogue Heroes to reach Sutton.
