No it means we’re guaranteed a gate of at least 28,000 even if none of those Chelsea season ticket holders don’t turn up for the match. They’ve effectively already paid for the Barrow game to keep their Chelsea season ticket. A lot of Premier clubs run similar schemes.behind the goals wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 11:05 pm Talking to a supporter after the game and he said Chelsea have 28,000 season ticket holders who get the league cup included, so does that mean we only get a share of the gate money from above that figure, might not be the financial money spinner we had hoped for.

It’s not just the Trust they’ve undermined, the GMV run about a dozen or more buses per season which helps top up our kitty - which obviously goes back to the club in the way materials for projects. We were prepared to run this bus at virtually no profit as a thank you to those who use us….this has totally thrown us. How can we expect a person or families to use our bus when the club have done this?
This has been very very poorly thought out.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Agree 100% Whoever authorised this needs to have a rethink asap. Very poorly thought out idea that smacks of im alright jack and bugger the rest. IMO the club should have got together with the Trust and the GMV bus and split the sponsorship so that all groups benefit and they all run the buses charging the same price. Surely that's not rocket science.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:32 amIt’s not just the Trust they’ve undermined, the GMV run about a dozen or more buses per season which helps top up our kitty - which obviously goes back to the club in the way materials for projects. From what i understand the trust were told the club would work with them to organise travel for all at a fair price.
Only for the club to go back on their word first found in the statement and run their own busses cutting the trust out of the equation.
Certain individuals are once again damaging the relationship between the club and trust / fans. They need to remember what the trust do for them. Hopefully all the people going via busses will support the trust even if it’s more expensive.
As for blocking people for giving their opinion, well that’s nothing new.

3 buses subsidised on a first come first served basis. 150 people get the goodie bags presumably with our sponsors logo's on all the merchandise and promote the sponsors.
I'm pretty sure that this is why the club are doing it not to compete with the trust or disrepect them

I absolutely don’t think the club have done it to compete with anyone, I do however believe it’s been poorly thought out. Why not let the FBSs donation be split between any coaches already being run? Why not put these “goodie” bags on all buses?Fazered wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:55 am 3 buses subsidised on a first come first served basis. 150 people get the goodie bags presumably with our sponsors logo's on all the merchandise and promote the sponsors.

The club now have the extra responsibility of finding one or two people per bus to organise things on the day, organising ticketing, pick-up/drop/off points etc.
Doesn’t make sense.

Aye, all 10 coaches in the same pub. Winner of the sprint to the bar wins a Newfoundland and Labrador poncho.
