Our best striker! Would be a very good defender too if he can stop falling over!!

Enjoyable game, we should have won by 5/6 really, but 3 will do.Villa were sharp and slick but didn’t cause us much concern at the back, great to have Farman back though.

Hope their young keeper was ok after having to go off injured.

That triple save by Farman was fantastic.

With the easy chances missed it should have easily been 6. Villa lads tried to play football but weren't good enough to do it. For all their possession (mostly in their own half) they managed just 3 shots in the match! Most of our easy chances came from misplaced passes from their defenders and attempts to dribble from dangerous positions and losing the ball. Their marking was almost non-existent and they had very little pace. As their position in the league shows, they are a group which is miles away from the level of the one they had a few years ago and I'd be very surprised if many of the current team ends up in the Premier League.

Apparently many of Villas u21s are away on international duty and last nights team was mainly made up from the u18s squad so to judge last nights villa team against the side we played a few years ago would be very misguided IMO.

Concussion injury to 17 year Old Sam Proctor after challenge from Kouyate who`s final touch was poor a better touch probably would have scored and no injury for the Keeper.

Were you behind the goals Tuesday night? Or someplace/someone else?

Something of a conundrum for you there

Beat Blackpool 18-17 on penalties in the EFL trophy. A record by some distance apparently. Penalty shoot out alone lasted nearly 40 minutes.
