Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Thought the scenes at full time were great. The huddle. Canavan going over to his family at full time, looked to release a lot of emotion after a tough week.
Popular side since '03.

Very confident and he's pleased for the players and the fans.Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Feb 14, 2026 8:22 pm Just watched the post match interview. Absolutely love this guys’s positivity, thats gonna rub off onto the team. One win and a small step in the right direction. Keep it going.

I like the way he gets everybody together as 'the group' not just the team.

What a very pleasant drive back down the M6! Opposite of the drive up the M6 from Shrewsbury the other day. Resilient hard working performance with that all important bit of luck. Colchester are a decent side so that makes it sweeter. Yes Rose (just love his "professionalism" particularly when he attempted to shake hands (sarcastically) with the defender )he totally wound up him up - I knew we had them at that moment. A Barrow player with attitude - what joy. Finally a shout out for Newby I know Stanway & Rose are rightly getting the plaudits but he also put in a hell of a shift down the left.

"It's not about the cards you're dealt, but how you play the hand."
Thanks Dino.
Thanks Dino.

Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Well it couldn't be offside because Harper passed the ball to him.
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Don’t lose Tuesday & we are safe imo.
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Genuine question: Does anyone see dino here past this season? Or is he just a stop gap to get us safe and next season will be a new manager in charge?
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Think we’ve got to be take it one game at a time at the moment, Dino is clearly night and day from Gally, (but then we did have that Tranmere win which probably got him the job) but if it’s right for both parties at the end of the season, I don’t see why he wouldn’t join for the longer term, he did mention in his interview he has a house in the north west. Consistencies seem to be key at this level.
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Way too early to ask questions like that tbh
1 win albeit from 1 game is a great start but lose to Harrogate on Tuesday and the dreaded feeling comes back! Lots of games to go and several are teams around us (isn't Newport at home our last match ?) So say we survive but only just or relegated then no but if we win, draw a good number of matches and finish very strong then I could see them offering him a contract but hes here to keep us in this league first and foremost.
Yesterday was limited chances for both teams and we took one of ours.
Harrogate totally up for a fight now will be a massive test at what he can do with this squad then his first away game vs Fleetwood, again a bit test. Get through these with good results and like most we'll feel a lot better about our league status.
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Any news on injuries
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Know what your saying but, one game at time from now till the end of season is best policy.
Dino's rolling contract says that really.

On a positive note win all our remaining games and we will be promoted.
Re: Barrow v Colchester utd match thread
Did he not say in one of the interviews he was looking to move this direction ….
Not sure where he lives now but that interesting comment ( unless I dreamt it

Cowley giving absolutely zero credit to Barrow in his post match “we lost against a team who we are significantly better than”. Come on Danny boy, we are fighting for our league future here, just like you were last season, don’t forget.
