I hope we can get around 12 points i think that will just see us safe i think crawley will pick up 11 points Harrogate 8 points Newport 10 that would see Harrogate on 35 points and Barrow Newport and Crawley on 41 points coming down to goal difference and that last game

Lot lot better yesterday (from a very low bar on Tuesdays!) whether that was Foles taking over, or whether it was the formation change most of us have been asking for for months who knows. Presumably Barky is the latest injured player? Need him or Newby on the right wing imho, leave Gordon up front with Rose to do his running about up there
Big question now is whether we back it up Tuesday or whether we do our usual after a decent performance and stink the place out

I think the corner was turned yesterday in terms of that performance - I couldn't criticise anyone but also though Jack Earing was outstanding.
Sadly, even though my glass is always half full, I think that this revival, which I think will carry on under Sam has come too late in terms of our Achilles heel in front of goal.

I have to agree RE jack Earring. It was by far his best game since he came to the club and was the outstanding performer in a much improved overall team performance.

Hate all of these prediction threads. Means nothing and none of them ever materialise. So now I’m going to make a prediction
Being honest I don’t see is picking up a point till mid April by which our place in non league will be all but cemented. We had to get another 6 points from the last 3 games to be in with any real chance I think. Absolutely horrendous run of games coming up against teams with something to play for at the business end of the season. Having followed barrow for many years now I will say that I’d much rather us have this run in compared to games against teams around us because history shows they’re the ones we fail in.

It all means nothing though these predictions. We’ll pick up wins where we shouldn’t and we’ll lose games we should have won. Think Harrogate have the biggest say in it all as they have games against more teams around us. We just have to show that fight we did at Walsall start of the season under whing, one of my all time favourite barrow wins, proper backs against the wall stuff!

Barrow are evens to go down on odds checker today. Harrogate 1/5.
The reality is we probably only have 7 games to get the required points as we will more than likely be relegated with 3 games to go making the last few games irrelevant. Including the 6 pointer v Newport.
I'd be more interested in how much money the happy clappers would put on league survival.

That was one of our best performances for months but we need goals. I just don’t see where the goals come from and sadly I think we’ll fall short.

Thanks for posting that. It’s not like you haven’t reminded us recently that we are down near the bottom and struggling.

Well perhaps we can console ourselves with the fact that at least this time we will go out on 'merit' (or lack thereof) and not by losing a popularity contest.

Having said that there will be a few shocks in store yet possibly culminating in a death-or-glory finale v Newport. What will be, will be.

Look at Carlisle and the money they have spent and are hoping for a play off place rather than automatic promotion.
Yesterday was a start and could have got beat with the shot that hit our player and went to a player.in a offside position who scored .
Pre Foley days the referee would not have given offside.
We need to go to Salford for a win but it's up to the way we set up

Odd that given we played Tues so assuming had Weds off that leaves Thursday as I'm guessing team picked before Friday.
Chances of both being injured in one days training?
Got to be unlikely.
My assumption therefore is Sam doesn't fancy them for whatever reason.

Barkhuizen came off early against Bristol and didnt look happy I assumed it was a change by Dino but maybe forced if he had a knock. Against Cheltenham he was one of our better players when he got forward which is his role. Mahoney has flattered to deceive throughout his time here, technically no question but his work rate leaves a lot to be desired and he just hasn’t contributed enough. Deserves to be in the stand is on a steep decline.
