So your saying that we paid Rose a 5 figure sum(£10,000) who played for the Club on Monday despite another Club signing him on Tuesday, why does the selling Club have to pay for the transfer to go ahead if true it's madness.jeff1966 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 8:26 amOwes him more than a pint. Managing to get a 5 figure payout on his barrow contract and then getting him a 2 year deal on good money. People must wet themselves on the ongoings within barrow afcBig_Bluebird wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2026 10:43 pm Good bye. Stunk the spot out. 2 year deal at nearly 33 he owes his agent a pint

I agree.WalneyOne wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 7:58 am IMO he's blaming players for his shortcomings.
He's signed 10? Most of whom are involved weekly and it isn't going to plan......so blame last seasons players.
See how it pans out up to Christmas but currently I'm not convinced by his tactics or motivational skills.

Re: Danny Rose
It didn’t happen we just let him go. Do you really think the club are going to blow a five figure sum that would eat into this seasons players budget? He is off the books it’s saves a wage he got a new two year deal out of it we can use the money we save on his salary to bring someone in.behind the goals wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 10:41 amSo your saying that we paid Rose a 5 figure sum(£10,000) who played for the Club on Monday despite another Club signing him on Tuesday, why does the selling Club have to pay for the transfer to go ahead if true it's madness.
Re: Danny Rose
So you think if an employee is on let’s say £2,700 a week and can sit on it till his contract runs out. A team approach saying they want him but are willing to pay him £2,000 a week, he wouldn’t ask for a payout on their original contract to move on. It will of saved us money in the long run but basically paying part of his contract upfront to get him out the building is not ideal!

In other words everything you're saying is a guess and has no basis in fact!jeff1966 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 12:18 pm So you think if an employee is on let’s say £2,700 a week and can sit on it till his contract runs out. Murray pretty much confirms this to be the case in his interview.olefogey wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 3:39 pmIn other words everything you're saying is a guess and has no basis in fact!jeff1966 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 12:18 pm So you think if an employee is on let’s say £2,700 a week and can sit on it till his contract runs out. The reason he says a little bit is due to his 5 figure pay out, a lot more than 10k by the way

Re: Danny Rose
Depends what you call a little bit but I’m sure Murray said it frees up enough to bring maybe two players in
Re: Danny Rose
He does, he says 2 maybe 3 players. Im happy hes calling last years players out. I hope they all go, im just suprised Harper and Jackson wernt some of the 1st to be told to go. If they let comments on a fans forum affect them then they shouldnt be professional footballers. I played a sport professionally where the fans forum was very active, i read it all the time, not at any time did i think im downing tools or not trying coz someones slagged me off, in fact it was more the oppositeMain Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 5:35 pmDepends what you call a little bit but I’m sure Murray said it frees up enough to bring maybe two players in
Re: Danny Rose
I thought Harper might've stepped up this season, he showed a bit more in pre-season against Mansfield went flying into a tackle and I thought maybe he'd be a new man, unfortunately he's reverted to old. If you look at his career he's dropped from England youth and championship level to non league, a bit like Mahoney he has ability but just hasn't shown it anywhere near enough.beachy01 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 5:46 pmHe does, he says 2 maybe 3 players. I dare say if Murray could've got rid of the lot from last season then he probably would have.
Unfortunately their contracts and the fact no one else wants them means we're stuck with them for another season. Same goes for Jackson who when he first came was a revelation not sure what's happened, Smith, Earing, Kouyate, Barkhuizen...Wood and Whing between them have killed us there. Murray's right in that the last 18 months have been a car crash but I'd say it's set us back more than two years, hard to see us getting back up any time soon.

If he actually believes "we're very, very close to being a really good team" he's living in a dream world!McMark wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2026 7:32 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0p80 ... are-mobile
The truth is out there!
Re: Danny Rose
Can't really argue with him in that Danny Rose perhaps wasn't quite right, his body language wasn't great even in pre-season and he wasn't going to feature much.
As thought seems like his wages were high and enough to cover 2/3 players possibly now he's gone.
Talk of Dan Mooney still coming in but again another player who has had injury problems...speaking of which looks like Crankshaw is out for a while after that ridiculous tackle at Kidderminster.
Too much talk of stats and data though for me from Murray, similar story to his interviews at Fylde. And I think we're far from being a very good team maybe a win or two will give them some confidence but lacking too many areas still from what I've seen, in fact probably all areas right back, centre, midfield and now we look very light up top.
