Atherton Collieries 1 - 7 Barrow
Steady Ste!! FA cup games are notoriously difficult scores to predict.........where do they get the 1 from :)
Nyal Burton own goal.

If anyone on here doesn't belive it's hostile you're in for a shock.
The last time I went there for the FA Trophy game a mate got clocked in the first 10 minutes for celebrating a goal, could have been any of the 4. Second half it all kicked off and they even had their stewards taking their fluorescent jackets off to join in the melee. These weren't all kids involved but blokes in their 40's!!

They probably had players who couldn't afford their subs that day so you got lucky. If you get lucky again you may get a late consolation goal. Anything less than 6/7-0 to Barrow and ill consider that a true upset.
You should really get them kids signed up then, some of the redditch lads are on 250-300 a week. Wonder why there dad turns up to pay to watch barrow then when his kids are ghat good as surely theyve inherited there dads genes. Maybe they have though and there real dad maybe playing at a decent level. Makes you wonder.
I'm not having it for one minute that Redditch pay their players. You'll be telling me that going to Atherstone is like Galatasaray next. I really can't see a couple of old tin bike sheds, a couple of kids with smoke bombs and a team that I'd draw my blinds to if they were playing on my front lawn should cause us a problem. I've even had a big bet on us going into double figures.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Sheepy Road? My garden shed is bigger than it!

The Atherstone Tinpotters are going to get hammered. Should put at least 5 past them.

I doubt their fans are that bad. Probably a couple of old men drunk from the night before!

I seriously was going to make the next round game if it was anything like an attractive fixture but why the [SwearFilter] would I want to travel half way down the country to see us stroll past a village team supported by more than their fair share of village idiots?

I'll save my money for the round after.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

If Dave Bayliss wants me to play in this then I'm sure summet can be sorted out with Furness Rovers. Me and Duran Reynolds would boss these amateurs.

I would be up for doing a reverse Souness as well, plant a Barrow flag right in the middle of that shithole they call a ground after we hammer them 10-0.

Why are you trying to cause trouble here? How old are you? When Barrow AFC go away in numbers in my experience we are not looking for trouble, just a fun day out.

Judging from your solid performance in the recent derby between Furness and Hawcoat, I'd sign you up Burns. Like a slim Steve Mcnulty.

You wanna read the previous 5 pages mate!!! I really hope that you boys turn up with the expectation of winning easily, cos I think you'll be surprised at how good our team are. We can probably expect about 50-100 hardcore fans to show up then, no doubt the rest of you get a nosebleed if you go past Ulverston!!!

Makes me laugh how some think its atherstone fans cup final because were playing the mighty barrow. Atherstone support is around the 150-180 mark. I'll be expecting a crowd of about 700 as obviously atherstone are alot of teams 2nd club due to them being there home town team. International weekend so alot of lads in town who would usually follow villa, wolves, blues etc etc will be coming down who will by the end thinking of yourselves 'god you follow that every week' and will feel sorry for the poor little barrow boys. The week after they'll be going back to actually watching big clubs while you my friends will still be watching barrow afc.
