3pts in the bag and a good performance overall, battled well, they could of scored 2 one when they hit the post and the other when Shots player slipped when clean open! But we could of scored 3-4 , the save from Hughes shot late on was quality! It's a new team, Moussa played well alongside Livesey, who was class ! Alex Ray was brilliant , as was Williams covered every blade . We will be tough too break down as our back 4 look strong. And we'll do well up front with Hannah , Hughes, Harrison, Howarth , Williams, plenty of chances with those! If we play like Cheltenham and go up, everybody will be over the moon!

+1, bring back deasy or that martin fella we loaned from leeds

Both of which would cost us goals and having seen our back up keeper at stalybridge - he would definitely cost us goals.

Dixon is a great keeper - if he as flawless he wouldn't be playing in this league, maybe we need to sign a decent goalkeeping coach because the two keepers we have now are young enough to have great careers.

Yes he's a decent keeper and seems to be a very nice fella BUT if we are pushing for promotion we need a quality keeper who would find a place in the top 3/4 sides.

His distribution is awful which for the modern day keeper is crucial.

Just my opinion

The unanimous opinion in the posts, and a correct one, is that young Dixon, has NEVER been seen to throw and roll the ball to any of the 4 back-liners, especially the 2 fullbacks EVER. It has been suggested that's on the Managers instructions? If the Manager is to give him instructions, it should be to 'keep the opponents guessing' as to how we will build-up an attack. In other words vary it.

I remember in the 2nd half seeing Beeley waving his arms frantically and screaming for the ball to be thrown to him, when he was wide open with no opposing playing within 30 yards, but Dixon wasn't interested.

A hoof up the field 100% of the time, usually into a packed crowd, is a 50/50 ball at best, probably 40/60 as the opposition is facing the ball. If you don't have the ball you can't score! If your opponents have the ball they can score! You don't need to be Einstein to figure that one out. Oy Vey and I'm not even Jewish.

The increase is for adults only in the stand.
Gone up from £15 last season to £18.
A big increase when no other admissions have altered.

Surely the keeper should mix it up a bit, Throw to Beeley was the best option described above, Don't want to be 1 dimensional

Prices below state £17 for the stand, some people do like to inflate things!!! ;)

Yea . No reason why not!? He is a good GK , learning , like someone said if he was a complete GK he wouldn't be at Barrow's level. He has a new CB pairing too play along with now and pretty much a new backline . We have a good no-2 if Cox feels Dixon needs a break !

Still quite a jump and for what reason?
"Do you think we need the money?"

You are quite right Mark

Still seems unjustified whatever increase to target just one section who for whatever reason need or want to use the seats provide.

A £1 increase across the board would have made more sense.

It will no doubt put some people off paying £17.

I think the price of watching football is too high in this country. I think our prices are in line with others and probably less than others.

I would have liked to have seen us experiment with pricing in the hope of packing out the ground. Maybe we can make the Lancashire cup game(s) £1 for everyone or pay what you like.

I see the club are looking for volunteers to man the turnstiles, it's not ideal for everyone because not sure fans would want to miss a whole half of the game - but I hope they get some more because having less turnstiles open on Saturday was causing queues. Seems queues was the order of the day - people queuing to spend money and not able to, I am sure things will improve.

Regarding the crowd, didn't the Premier League kick off the same day as the National League last season and Man Utd were the dinner time kick off? I think a lot of people decided to make a day of it by going to the pub to watch Utd then down to Holker St which boosted the attendance that day. It was certainly mentioned on here at the time the amount of Utd shirts in the crowd. Happy with the 3pts and think we could become a decent side with a few games under our belts.
