Fair play to your fans, lads. Shame the team couldn't turn up for you. That's not a game I'll remember by this time next week, it was pretty dire. We weren't great either, btw.

Hope you all had a safe journey home.

He was signed to bring on slowly as he has bags of protential but due to us getting late backward off 2 solid proven CB's has been thrust into the spotlight, give the guy a break.

A pretty dire performance.
Set up defensively from the word go, and constantly pegged back. It was almost as though we didn't want possession. It was usually squandered within 2 or 3 passes when we actually got the ball. Sad to say Harrison looked disinterested.
Livesey immense until his injury - Murray not a bad replacement. Diarra can maybe head but not showing signs that he can kick. Central midfield never got in it. Hughes invisible.
The super signings we were all so enthusiastic about pre season looked very ordinary indeed.
From where I was, a definite penalty. Just bad judgement, and sadly his kicking was as poor as usual, so often just handing back possession.
Cook's goal was good. Can't blame him for celebrating as he did in front of the supporters who'd rubbished him from before the first whistle.
I like to be positive, but can't come up with anything really. A very disappointing trip to the Wirral.

All of that is pretty much correct, but have to disagree with the Harrison comment - he was getting frustrated that no balls were coming down the middle, just down the right to Hughes, but also because the other big centre back had the beating of him in the air too. He did okay whenever he got the ball, and offered a lot more than Hannah, who really suffered in that system. We would have been better off having Parry in for Hannah if we were going to play that way.

See some people giving diarra a hard time on here, but Nick Anderton was worst player on the pitch.

What game were you at boylio..? Harrison has had 2 extremely poor games now and looks a lightweight, needs to be told in no uncertain terms that his current input is unacceptable, we expect better. We're desperately in need of a midfield general, Cox needs to find one asap. Tranmere weren't up to much and won't win the league, but they could've played without a goalkeeper we were that limp. Set-pieces becoming an embarrassment in attack and defence, beyond awful. PUT A PLAYER ON EACH POST WHEN DEFENDING CORNERS!

basically just think we bottled it ? big ground big stadium! never looked like we had the belief that we could win ? plenty of huff and puff but no end product 1 shot that went wide think that was it ? shocking treatment of the fans by both police and stewards but may as well get used to it ! seems to be the norm these days ? anyway mid table my shout unless we buck up ?

It's still early days but I think we have introduced to many work in progress players.
The marquee signings failed to materialise though I do believe we just missed out on Ronaldo
Dixon needs to be dropped at least one midfield player of ability and experience needs to be found along with a proven scorer shame Ronaldo is staying in Spain.

Not sure where you were on Saturday Mulholland but Harrison caused problems for Aldershot and had a decent game.
Popular side since '03.

Agree with that.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Couldn't make it last night so can't comment on how we set ourselves up or the way we played on the night.

But what I will say is we have a new squad of players who are just really finding their feet together they are not going to gel overnight, the learning curve is going to have many ups and downs for a month or two yet.

Never expected anything from the game except 100% commitment and it sounded like that is what we got listening in on the radio with fantastic vocal support throughout and baring a couple of individual errors that cost two goals we may have come away from Prenton park unbeaten.

Paul Cox has said countless times it won't be pretty all the time and supporters won't always be happy with some of his decisions at times.
Even the mighty FGR are finding their feet. I'm sure we are heading in the right direction it's not a sprint it's a bloody marathon and hopefully we will still be in contention as the race unfolds, so let's just sit and wait for the final 2K.

That's just wrong!
Anderton was the only Barrow player that turned up, and was putting in great tackles left, right and centre! Had a very good game.

Harvey had about 3 touches, one of which was an intercepted pass across his own box. Diarra sliced everything that came to his feet. In fact, there's loads of candidates for worst player, but Anderton was not one of them.

*Heard a bloke to my right say he was awful, heard a bloke to my left say he was brilliant. Baffling really.

Although it was down the other end the penalty looked an awful decision from what I saw. Looked outside the box, the ball going away from goal and a dive.

Look forward to seeing it again.

We were dreadful, early doors yet tho so no panic

If Tranmere are the best in the league then the league is there for anyone to take - we gave them an easy game

We couldn't string a pass together - did we actually trouble the keeper ?

Well done on the travelling fans - deserved more from the team but Cox is a winner and he will get it right im sure.

IMO Diarra wasn't at fault for cookies goal it looked like Liam Hughes had left him alone in the box. The only sniff he really had at goal. Saying that Diarras kicking was poor.
Jennings as good as he may be always going to ground and should of been booked that would of put a stop to that.
Norwood had an off night didn't think they were that great but used the width of the pitch well.
