Our friends in Aldershot have taken a keen interest on the game on their forum

you are right Mark the players are up for it, we just need the fans to be intimidating towards Torquay and get right behind the team.

Great result. This ref has sent our players off and awarded us penalties, tonight he managed both.Mac forum reckoned it was their biggest game of their season. Must be gutted. Are the wheels back on?

Looks like we might have to have someone sent off in every game so we can step up a gear!

A first rate victory from a very different looking team, and a different style of play.
Everyone had a good game, Livesey immense, Bennett, and ARH in particular.
Macclesfield weren't bad, and passed it around a bit, but were very poor on front of goal. Howarth had an ok game, but fluffed a few shots.
Barrow very disciplined and organised, and pinging it around rather than hoofing if forward. A joy to see at times. Tuton looks fast and skilful, and in the first half Byrne was the best player on the pitch. Very sharp in the tackle, and clever with the ball.
An excellently struck penalty.
Last 20 mins was like a game of attack and defence after Wright was sent off. (Lost his head).
Excellent stuff.

On my bus replacement from Manchester to Chorley and reflecting on the game and loving it. Great support for a start. First half was boring. Second half was slightly better and we won.

Got to say as well Flatt was superb . Crosses were picked up every time. Dixon may have missed a few of them. And often keepers don't get the plaudits but he was solid. Livesey same as from what I have seen or read. He seems to have a hand on the centre forward all the time. Literally. He's touching him and close on every corner giving Flatt every chance . What a great day. Apart from this driver taking me home the long way

From JTV I was impressed by Jordan Williams tonight. A bit more like the old him, hope it continues.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Not pretty but gritty. A huge 3 points. Like Saturday we were poor especially in first half however Macc were equally bad including Agent Howarth who did a superb undercover job.

Flatt, the new boy Burke, Livesey, Diarra and Bennett deserve special praise but everyone throwing themselves on the line at the end. Williams made an impact when he came on - dropping him might have done him some good.

Not quite as unreal as Aldershot but damn close and two incredible games to be at back to back

That's probably what all the loan players are for, success and getting us that big fine promotion at the end of the season. ;)

I couldn't make tonight due to a short-notice midweek appointment, but managed to catch a few minutes on the wall. Why was Haworth attacked so strongly by the away supporters? Bitter, spoilt and classless.

Most every1 in this league do not like us. We are were we are because we deserve to be. Lincoln..FGR..TRANMERE can all go hoof themselves. NO ONE is entitled unless they deserve it. We do and NO 1 can alter that fact. I leave Dagenham out of this cos they are going about their business as they would want it and well done. Hope they come to us for the "play" and not for the greed of the FL. Nuff said...COME ON THE BLUEBIRDS let us welcome Torquay this weekend and send them home penniless but with all good intent.
Last line here...Commercial BARROW give the fans the chance to turn up aka Rochdale....oops a darn pink elephant just hummed past my house and it swore!!!!
