Believe it or not but its pretty much the same football we endured over Edmo.
Well I can tell u I did a former member of this forum. Despite that long unbeaten run the football and performances this season have been little better than average, which is why the good teams are now creeping away from us. I know there is more than one way to skin a cat but we have had teams whilst playing in conference north that football wise, would play this lot off the park. It's absolutely shocking.

Sutton fans annoy me, OK a handful turned up, but as dramatic as ever as southerners you'd think they'd gone to the moon.

First half was rubbish. Second half was marginally less rubbish. Would have preferred Bennett to come off and given Effiong a good 30 mins. Left Hannah on.

Fans are getting mixed up between running out of steam / loss of form and putting it down to our style of play. Nothing wrong with our style of football when we were playing with confidence and a swagger beating Dagenham, Bristol Rovers, Lincoln away etc So what has changed. We lost two or three really influential players, Yates, an absolute diamond of a find and played with a maturity beyond his years, And his Forest team mate, the keeper, only here a short while, but fitted in perfectly and showed tremendous ability. Harrison, crocked at a time when he was right on top of his game and other factors being the inconsitency of form of key players like Williams and Moussa (Moose had a good game today, but lately has looked lost of confidence). That folks is why we have lost our way. Nothing to do with our style. We just have not been able to maintain the pace. Even if we just come up short this season we should be proud of what they have achieved in such a short period of time. getting some good plaudits along the way. Everyone is giving 100% but it just ain't happening right now, but we know what we need and where to strengthen.

On the contrary I think the fans put up with the style of play because we were winning. Of course we were happy when we went on the run - who wouldn't be - but to say that's what the fans want to watch day in and day out I think is being a bit too positive.

Agree 100%, we have lost key players at a crucial time. I guarantee if you take the 2/3 best players out of any team in the country it will have a massive effect on performances.

The style of play was fine with everyone when we were winning.

The style of play was different when we were winning. Passing the ball to each other instead of the long boot upfield and the head tennis we see now.

No it wasn't, we had Byron up front

Exactly, and we don't have the personnel to change it. No natural wide players - Williams has been awful since before Xmas, too easy to mark if he cant kick it past you and run, but his quality in the final third is dire. Had a great chance to slip Anderton In late on but chose to shoot instead. In fairness I though Hughes put a decent shift in today, but again, no quality and too many stray passes.
I know we don't play much through the midfield, but when they do get it, there are no options for them other then to lift it over the top.

Livesey with concussion today, hope he's ok (allowed) to play Tuesday. Hope Cox doesn't settle for a top ten finish, if he lets the players think that we could slide even further.. has to keep them believing

Correct, and the reason for that was that as the ball was coming to their guy in the area Hughes was looking everywhere else but at the man or the ball until it was too late and then clearly tripped him.
It was Bennett Gary not Hughes.
If it wasn't a penalty it should have been a free kick to Barrow.
Deacon clearly grabbed the ball with both hands when falling then got up and tried to score.

Exactly we had Yates and Erlandsson very good players but as loan players they left when it suited them not us.
It's not a good position to be in.
Now I am sure I will get stick from the Charles [SwearFilter] characters "Always be humble Euriah",
I would not criticize Bennett he has performed week in and out but he is no Andy Cook he is still learning his trade at this level.
Also the well we have kept our best players ,Jordan Williams is showing the strain I do not believe we were offered a significant amount.
The very best player left for whatever reason.
P Casson seems to have gone shy on the media front .
It now looks like we are going to loose out to the playoff positions and that will be down to the Texan not coming up with the goods.
