a former member of this forum why would it be a disaster? I personally just want to witness that first game back in the football league in my lifetime. Yes i have dreamt about it, always said wherever i am in the world, the day Barrow AFC play there next game in the football league i will be there.
Ready or not we have to take any opportunity to make this happen. The flip side is if we still exist in however many years time, we could be sharing a beer saying do you remember when we had a chance.
So in my opinion your disaster opinion is yet another troll xxx
Gonna sound selfish but I agree with dixie! I want to see the team I love in the football league.. will it be a disaster? Who knows? Will it be a disaster having to wait another year..or ten or twenty? Who knows? Whatever will be will be.. I'm definitely not getting any younger.. I may wake up dead tomorrow and never see football league in Barrow..
Embrace, take and run..

I agree with DIXIE seeing Barrow AFC back in the Football League would be amazing, many of us supporting Barrow it has being a long hard road and not getting any younger fast forward 10 years many of us old die hearts will not be here, I don`t know how old a former member of this forum is could be an old fart, if he thinks it will be a disaster so be it , Altrincham went back to the NPL today and will never get close to the FL we have a chance and I would like us to take it.

The club off the pitch is a shambles. Its running as if its expecting about 800 people to turn up to break even but they arent.

Suffolk Blue is about right on the game but over estimates the standard of the league IMHO
6 points from 9, proud I did the 3instead of being snidey on Twitter or whatever
Not over yet
20 people against 1000 and we did OK
The set up put us to shame

Well maybe we look at teams like this and learn? I remember Solihull years ago when myself and Reg sat in glorious sunshine, we were in CN i think. Langy set fire to my pubes anyhoo. But I hear from friends including you BA and how many better away days do we have? I know theres another thread on this but we prove in voice and numbers we are a fantastic supported team away.
I feel there is a massive grey area (and i hate that saying) in Barrows support.
The genius will turn that into Blue and White
Just need to find a genius

We were well beaten yesterday by a buoyant Maidstone side on a real run of form at the moment. We defended courageously for much of the game with Livesey and Diarra putting in many last ditch tackles, blocks and clearances and Flatt making a string of decent saves. Going forward we were pretty impotent after the first half hour with only Williams showing any real threat and we were outfought and outplayed in midfield.
In the main though as Cox has said the team looked leggy. Beeley looked to be running in treacle at times and I wonder how fit he was. Rowe was exposed as not being a left back as Loza roasted him repeatedly. A 3-1 or 4-1 scoreline would not have been flattering for Maidstone.
Decent set up there and I enjoyed the day out - our club could learn a lot of good things there. As John mentioned the club ambassadors meeting and greeting in town were excellent and the Spitfire Lounge was a dream to walk into a packed room of people watching the Merseyside derby but be able to breeze up to the bar and get served instantly. An outside bar and decent food behind the smaller end were also great.
With the new stand only having being open a couple of games I think the stewards are still learning and they probably should have made it easier for the group of us that migrated there at the start of the first half by helping a little space be created. I know there were a few very minor incidents but it did look like the Maidstone school kids were instigating these and the Maidstone forum seems to back this up. I chatted to loads of their fans in their new stand and the ones I talked to seemed a very friendly bunch and were all for not having to segregate.
Hope they stay up and will look forward to a visit next season though I suspect they will have made the other end the designated away end by then.

On the subject of getting promoted, my feeling is always: Just get up and then play stuff as it comes.

39% possession just goes to show how much we get rid of the ball once its won.

Promotion would be a bad thing. How anyone can say just being involved in the playoffs is beyond me. What's the point being involved if you don't win. If it happened we could improve the team yes however the running of the club wouldn't survive in the FL. Take the positive aspects of this season, work on them and go again next year. Should be looking at an approach like Fleetwood.

Theres a few fans who seem to think the club could run in the FL solely on TV money.
Theres sadly not a lot being put in place to aid the running of the club at the moment, Paul Cassons cash injections will one day run out.
