Thanks everyone. It means a lot. Going to raise a glass or two shortly. She was a mum who kept me on the straight and narrow.
I was a bit of a rascal.

Either I've missed the joke, or you're wrong.
I've been impressed by the 5-3-2, including the few games at the end of last season, but I don't think it's a case of Cox having to decide which suits us best - he'll jump between the two all season dependent on the opponent, and we could have started with 5 at the back today if he'd wanted (Barthram instead of Bauress).

According to RC Barthram was knackered hence why he wasn't picked.
Excellent point - we're coming together as a team slowly but surely by the sounds/looks of it. More patience required but we'll keep on improving, imvho.

Re: Dover Athletic vs Barrow AFC match thread
Very good display overall.
I will admit i never expected any change from dover today but the lads gave it their all and deserved a point.
Think a draw was the fairest result for both sides but we certainly had the chances to take all 3 which is promising.
Need to follow it up now next week

Best of luck trying to work out one of Pedros posts...
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Dover Athletic vs Barrow AFC match thread
Great day out and point a long way from home!
A real battle of a game and every player looked like they were up for it.
They all played well but a special mention for Harry Panayiotou who had a great game before he came off. Gomis and Diarra superb as well.
Brilliant backing from the fans, not much voice left now but a lot of noise made from the handful of vocal backers
Looking forward to next weekends double header

Re: Dover Athletic vs Barrow AFC match thread
Diarra again the standout, imperious. Gomis nearly as good, except could have won it with a half chance at the end. ARH winning headers etc he had no right to win played well again.
Hughes a bit leaden footed and I thought Audel was poor second half. We did have slightly the better of it after they scored but a draw was a fair result.
Honest bunch of players, battling away, which is all we ask. We really need a bit of flair though. Bradley Bauress is learning, so is Panayatou but soon we will need a bit more creativity from both, although both I think can be satisfied with how they played. Some of the long ball hoofing would get football stopped (from both teams)
We battled away with them very short of numbers off the park... but real mutual recognition between the players and supporters at the end for what was a very good point.
Barra Barra..etc
