Is there anywhere in town we could link up with to sell tickets rather than people having to go to the ground?

I believe the idea of a match day bus was looked into but it just wasn't feasible. I will find out more details and do some more research into it myself.

A big thanks to Mike (Glasgow Blue) for helping me put up and give out some posters around Town this afternoon. A few people we gave them to said they would be interested in going so it's a start.

Mike has offered to put some up before every home game so if anyone else would like to do so let me know, and I will arrange for them to be printed and sent out to you.

I'm determined to get the ball rolling on projects to boost support and get the club more involved in the town, so as I have said previously, if you have any ideas at all send me a PM or see me on a match day. :scarf:
There is a bus service that passes the ground is there any mileage in speaking to Stagecoach about them having a special price for services that pass the ground?

Good work with marketing today - the poster is great that dave does but really needs to emphasise the price when it's reduced
I will definitely look into it Charlie, I think it comes from Town. I think it would be more realistic than having our own bus for the time being.

We did use a different poster today (Same one as on Twitter etc.) emphasising that prices were cheaper and kids go free etc.

Great idea. As has been said many times, the ultimate goal has to be for the club to have a shop or some sort of permanent presence in the town centre.

However, until then it would be good. Do any Barrow fans own a shop in town? :D

I thought that this idea was to help with not having to go to the ground to collect tickets;

It is Mark, but we have to cater for those who are against modern technology :lol:

Plenty handed in a few town centre hostelries, Inc Derby, Robin Hood, Blue Lamp, Railway and Townhouse. All happy to put some up or have them on the bar and tables. Just a start though, need to keep it going with a bit more help for greater coverage.

Not reading through this entire thread but credit to the club for this: yesterday I got a text from my kids school promoting free entry to the Orient game including one adult per family free. Hope it gets a few in.

In an earlier post you state that the bus isn't feasible. Why is that?

I think you and Bingo may have missed my point regarding the bus. It was the advertising/marketing strategy I was focussing on. Seeing a bus full of blue and white shirts/scarves circulating round the town is bound to create some interest from on-lookers who might take the next step of attending a game.

Also, a 'Soccer Special' bus would be an ideal vehicle (pardon the pun) for advertising forthcoming games, on the sides of the bus - a mobile poster boarding, in fact.

Also, one or two companies may wish to advertise their business on the bus - which would bring in extra revenue.
