Heard many positives but definitely more vending points needed for food and drinks seemed to be the main gripes with variety an issue also

A few people at work said they joined that massive queue (from holker end to asda ) but didn`t realise they could have gone straight to the popular side, as no one was there to ask!
 Saw the massive queue and thought it was very British of them. I of course walked straight past and seized my opportunity to get in a far smaller one on the popular side. There’s a time and a place to be helpful at that wasn’t one.😉
Always thought you had a dark side !

Anyone know if Villa have or plan to donate their TV and gate money as some Villa fans suggested they might? Would be a great gesture after, as Cooper said "having our pants pulled down by them"

Totally out classed. However, it was a pleasure to watch such great football being played by such young lads. And their fitness levels were something we couldn't deal with, either.

We missed the start of the game. We were in the queue for The Holker End at 7.20pm - got in at 7.55pm. Just one turnstile operating.
F**king Ridiculous. Get it sorted!

The fella that was controlling the line said only popular side tickets could use the popular side gates I asked

What fella controlling what line? No stewards in sight until we were close to the Holker End entrance.

Villa supporter come back to wish you well, at least until we meet again! Hopefully won't be too long.

I'd not be too harsh on yourselves. I thought we put a fairly strong team out - obviously missing a few of the big 'first team' players ... but the younger lads - Cameron Archer aside - are all ones who you'd expect will start to make the step up to playing in the first team this season. It was a noticeably stronger team than we put out when we were promoted from the Championship, I thought.

Heard lots of complimentary things about your ground & supporters from folk who went. Your ground looked lots of fun on the telly. A proper stadium with bags of character. Hopefully get to see it in person one day.

Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the season (& beyond). "We'll meet again; don't know where, don't know when; but I know we'll meet again, some sunny day" :)

Love Big E's photos, by the way. Really nice.

According to the evening mail we've made about £200,000 from the villa game, does that mean they've kindly donated their share?

Let’s be honest - that was borderline embarrassing last night. Lots of praise given to Villa’s youngsters, and rightly so, but we were shocking.

It’s quite evident Jason Taylor’s legs have gone for some time now - to start him against a quick, agile, powerful midfield was such a poor decision. There was a point last night where the crowd was laughing at the poor lad.

that figure is correct without Villa donating there share of the gate. The mail have lifted that straight from the interview Levi Gill gave to Radio Cumbria on Tuesday morning. He said its £100k tv money plus appearance money then gate receipts then what they make from hospitality and bar takings in his opinion a figure of £200k is about what they should make

Anyone know if the quoted figures are including or excluding VAT?

I agree and I was sad to see such a great servant of the club looking totally out of his depth. He's been fantastic for Barrow but it's time he retired from playing and started his coaching career.

Poor old JT was run ragged by the speed of young Villa. He was never in the game. Can only remember him making 1, maybe 2 short passes the entire game. Tried his best, but unfortunately he's not the player of 2-years ago. 35 years of age next birthday will do that to you. Maybe now ass. coach. Can only imagine he was a surprise starter because 'we only had 14 fit players' - Cooper. Might as well have played 1 of the 2 goalies subs in mid-field. Better legs at least.

It’s the little things like this we always seem to neglect as a club & it comes down to staffing & money or lack of volunteers….look after your volunteers better & you might get more of them??

1 steward in this problem area directing all the newbies who haven’t been for years & unsure where to go should have been blindingly obvious, you get bottle necks here & there & its sooooo easy to solve & they would have spent more as they would have got in earlier & relaxed knowing they are in etc

Pleased that JT got a full 90, been a great servant to the club. Who gives a shit if he was a bit off the pace. We just made a fat wedge off a glorified friendly.
