Understandable-James Jones needs a rest and needs to get better. And, think we’ll get more out of Brough from LB - he’s one of our better players and needs to be used more in games .

JJ is only young & we get him from Alty wasn’t it when they were Conf N, So he’s playing 2 levels up & he’s getting over used due to our injuries, Good squad player & will improve imho.

A good result I thought we would get beat.
Let's be honest we have a mixture of crocs and inexperienced players.
James Jones may have been a Captain at Alty but he needs time to establish himself.
Devitt,Jones should never have been signed cannot remember who signed them.
Sea has done better than I ever thought.
Zanzala is a disappointing player though Hit the bar says I talk twaddle when I say that less than 1 in 5 as our leading striker is unacceptable.
We have limited resources and are carrying to.many injury yes I know players read the forum but I bet unlike alot of people they have security of employment and are grateful for that unlike alot of other people.

Our aim should be the best we can be , stay in the League and win out FA cup game and progress.

Not a chance, This season we are better than last & hope we add a few quality signings in Jan & we should be comfy mid table nobodies this term & im delighted with that.

Next season could be very exciting if Cooper brings in several better players than we have now.

I spend a fair bit of time in Harrogate and I keep seeing them consistently up there near the top for the last 3 seasons (ok, I know they lost today). I ask myself why they have come up from Conference north to do so well in the National League and then the FL and I think the answer lies in them having an owner and manager who have been there long term, with a team that has evolved slowly. Continuity is the key. That must be the recipe for us, too.

Yes, our weaknesses can be annoying and frustrating, but we need to be patiient, allow time for Mark Cooper to gradually tweak and improve the team. Hopefully, we can finish mid table or above this season and Cooper can strengthen for a higher finish next season.

Surely that would have been us if it wasn't for Evatt leaving!, we had to get over that ,then appoint a new manager, which left us little time to assemble a new squad and with covid made it much more difficult than Harrogate who just had to build on what they had ,so I can't understand your theory because that's what our board we're striving for with Evatts plan / Strategies we were just victims of his success!

Adam does an excellent job as commentator (and Lee Turnbull is a revelation too) so no criticism intended here but when he said "Gordon's not celebrating . . ." I froze for a moment as I thought he was going to follow those words with something like "because he's spotted the flag is up". Yes, I realise now why Gordon played it low-key but for just a nanosecond there I felt crushing disappointment that seemed to last for an age! What a point, given the grilling we received in the first 30 minutes! The fact that MC is disappointed we didn't get all three shows we have a manager who is a total winner. Given those first 30 minutes and the run of form Walsall are on I don't think too many will be all that disappointed with just a point.

Walsall fans forum saying ball out of play for 2nd goal could have been 3/4 goals down early on, but in the end a great point on to next week and hopefully 3pts and decent attendance.

Quite a few negative posts here, a good point away at a team who haven’t lost in 5. Decent enough for me.

We’re mid table in league 2 and a lot better than last season. People need to chill. Swear folk would complain if we got to the premier league and didn’t qualify for Europe.

Good away point at the end of the day ... and yes some of our defending is still dodgy ...and some of our forward moves lack occasional directness ...but in terms of determination and fighting spirit ...we certainly have that ...and in some players there is also considerable potential . There are things to work on ...but we also have players that , in the main , have the potential to improve . Keep the faith guys ...as the players did today ... right up to the last minute.

Maybe with further development of the existing squad and a couple of astute additions in January ..we can be challenging at the right end of the league come the end of the season... Our continuing support is critical.

I copied in the quote above from page 2 of this thread which was scrolling during the early part of today's match when we were on the rack. Most of page 2 makes for grim reading, save for this ray of hope. At least one fan was keeping the faith!

Think that’s disrespectful of the other players in this team, Farman was MOTM today and kept us competing, Gotts and Stevens have been massive factors in the games they have played since signing. As good as banks is it’s not just down to him.
