James has left the club confirmed last night
Brown was there but remained in his tracksuit like rooney

no - but they were there so probably slight knocks.
I think that's right. A few people said hi to him before he went on. Didn't look too far out of place though.
No recollection of it. Like I say - I don't DO friendlies. The fixture with Morton that I saw was played decades before! And was also the last occasion I watched a 'friendly'behind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 8:54 pmHow could you forget the pre-season home match with Greenock Morton July 31st 2006.Sea Dog Sam wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 4:53 pm
Thanks for correcting me. Yes; it was Greenock Morton![]()
Isn't Greenock part of Glasgow?
How time flies. Could have sworn it was in the 70s but you're probably right.

Goals from Gordon, Bennett and a Trialist secure the win here at Rakesmoor Lane.

Really? Was it a fluke?
Blown in by the wind? Came off the Ref? A cross that was diverted into the net?
Anybody got any video footage of this historical moment?
Bit Harsh mate, I like Flash & you never know he might shine brighter under Wild & with a more attacking formation, He has all the attributes but we all know he needs to score more & I hope he dies just thatSea Dog Sam wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 5:25 pmGORDON scored? He was awful that riley up front second half.chipmunx wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 4:34 pm a good workout and 2 totally different Barrow sides in each half. Thoughts on the new guys and trialists;-
Solomon Nwabuokei looks a great signing - was all over the pitch getting involved and breaking up play.
Sam McClelland looks like a real player - confident, composed and a threat from corners.
Billy Waters good close control, had a couple of shots saved.
Richie Bennett - we know what he can do - and he did it - he gives an extra dimension in attack that we didn't have last season.
George Ray - good in the air composed on the ball. solid.
Tyrell Warren - solid enough performance, played at left back 2nd half, but is usually a right back.
Sam Foley - didn't notice him too much so can't really comment
the 3 triallists 14, 17 and 19;-
14 - didn't impress too much.
17 - i liked the look of - good hold up play and linked well with Waters and Stevens. (Max Riley - the announcer actually named him as the 1st half sub)

19 - in and out of the game a bit, but scored that screamer (Benni Smales-Braithwaite of Southampton according to MT on the EFL 2 forum)
