Pete is wrong if he thinks we played well.
Awful decision, never a sending off
Free header was so predictable, defend set pieces ffs
We have got to improve both the final ball and getting into decent positions.

Yes, we are better, and happy with work in progress, but we need to arrest the last 3 months. Otherwise will be a [SwearFilter] next yeat

Looking at that red card decision makes it even worse than seeing it first time around live. If anything the Newport player went in studs showing. Once again, absolutely shocking officiating.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Imagine this season under the likes of Cooper, we are well clear and realistically fighting above where many expected. Pete wild was a breath of fresh air at the start of the year and I fully trust him to be the man to help us move forward. Who realistically puts us higher in the league at this point of the season than he has
That doesn't detract from really poor performances at home, we are conceding [SwearFilter] poor goals and are just not pressing as one ,this is a forum deal with it !
It also affects attendances, which in turn affects income, as we saw today. About 500 down on what it has been, which equates a minimum loss of around £7000 I would say.

Difficult to tell who was to blame for that (if anyone).

Please read previous posting, says he shot his mouth off to the ref which turned the yellow card into a red. All come out in the wash. :scarf:

I read that, but surely (as Nige says) that’s two yellows resulting in a red….I never saw two yellows flashed.

We are at least creating chances to score now although ball in the air far too much again.Like the look of Garner and Feely.Red card very harsh but I think we should be able to see out ten minutes even with ten men.Thought first half even but we seemed to run out of ideas second half and started going backwards again.Farman made some good saves can’t understand those criticising him today for his performance. The usual suspects were waiting on the junction after game awaiting the away fans leaving who duly arrived and taunted them with a bit of chanting.kept walking but heard lots of sirens and the blue lights on overtime so I hope there was not any bad trouble to add to disappointing result.By the way what is situation with josh Kay.Is he injured suspended or out of favour?

The referee went straight over to their player after the tackle and dwelled for a short time before deciding it was a red nothing to do with Feely reaction at all. I thought Feely did well at the back today a definite safe bet at the back that offers little in attack but a safer choice at present than Warren who is still learning his defensive duties but is good at linking with our attacking options. We simply didn’t create enough of threat today their keeper had as much possession of the ball as anyone on the field of play but was largely untroubled if only Whitfield in the first half could of generated a bit more power in his effort then who knows what we would of pushed on to achieve. Definitely stuck in a few very large pot holes at present that needs quite a bit of remedial work to at least smooth out a few bumps in the road

What clear cut chances did we create today Ann, two first half nothing second half. The stats say three shots on target I think they are being kind to us. We dither like apprehensive rabbits trying to cross a very busy road at times.

I was wondering where Kay was as well crying out for him to replace waters in the second half had he been on the bench. Ref was crap should have know early on when the liner gave us a decision only to have the ref over rule it. However we need to be scoring and it then takes the pressure off. The midfield need to fire a few off from outside the box instead of trying to walk it in all the time

Too many people have got carried away with the start

We are very much a Lower half mid table club - we will likely finish 15th in the table (which to me is still a great season compared to previous)

Personally I’d rather see the club start to build off the pitch for the next few seasons - take the £1,000,000 use it to build the club while yes give a budget to build a reasonable squad but let’s not go crazy.

Start building some infrastructure off the pitch, carry on with things like today which were fantastically supported (cross bar is the busiest I’ve seen it this season after a game with having the singer on (kudos to Sam as it was her idea) and build the club slowly

Right now we are still a non league club playing at being a league club, let’s make ourselves into a league club and establish ourselves that way
