Re: New kit
Did I miss our away kit launch. I saw a teaser suggesting it was imminent then nothing else.

Re: New kit
I was told yesterday that the away kit was black with a single yellow stripe down across one breast. However, the person who told me is often full of shoite, so i will wait and see.

Re: New kit
Surely, with all the effort being put in to the ground at the moment, we will be playing all our matches at home this season and won't need an away kit?

Re: New kit
It isn't. From someone who actually knows. Also, some of the sponsors logo is missing from the away shirt, that's why it's not been announced yet.Bigfathoss wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 5:47 pm I was told yesterday that the away kit was black with a single yellow stripe down across one breast. The club used to use the County Borough coat of arms on ties and blazers and it featured on programmes until the 1966-7 season. It was not possible, however, to make commercial use of the coat of arms.
Wilf Livingston, the long-serving and hard-working club secretary devised a club badge which incorporated the profile of HMS Dreadnought, the bee and arrow from the town's coat of arms below left plus, below right, the red rose of Lancashire and a (brown) football on a green background with two white lines to represent the playing surface.
With the help of Priests from St Mary of Furness, a Latin motto was added Spatiari ut Progrediaris which translates directly as 'Walk to Progress' but which may also be translated in various ways, such as 'Small Steps lead to Progress'. (Alternatives from Latin scholars welcomed.)
Full colour printing not then being common, the badge was rendered in various ways with one or two colours on white. The use of green to represent the playing area in the lower right is largely forgotten. It can be 'evidenced' in a black and white photo of the sign over the entrance of the Sports & Leisure building.
Wilf Livingston explained the design of the club badge in an article but I have not located it in back issues of the NWEM. Perhaps it was in an an early 67-8 programme or a club publication? If you can help, please get in touch!

No.
Re: New kit
I think the club have had more pressing issues but once they iron those out all that glitters should be sold.
