Some interesting points made on here today. My observations, in no particular order, of what turned out (eventually) to be an enjoyable afternoon is:-

The ground does now looks like a football stadium. Sat in the West Terrace first half and the important factor for me is it was comfortable with leg room. Downside is obviously the supports that can obscure the goals but what can you do about that? Plus I do think that when winter arrives some sort of protection from the wind off the Irish Sea should be investigated.

Also sat in the seats for a short while behind the goal. Its fine except lot of people walk in front of you. Again what can you do its still a vast improvement. I then made my way round to my usual position on the the popular side we scored the two goals so that's probably where I will stay (for the time being).

I honestly thought it looked more than 3003 in the ground. The ground, except obviously in the away end, looked like it was a 3400 type of attendance today bit surprised there. There was a fair number of out of town Barrow fans like myself here today - we can't always make it up on a regular basis. This is a really complex issue but something that needs to be looked at by the club - I know they are involved in a number of projects but more ideas/initiatives need to be considered.

As Hadrian mentioned there seemed to be a lot of slipping on the surface by both teams. Early season hard surface could be the problem I suppose.

Impressed with the way the team persevered against what I thought was a good well drilled Sutton outfit.

Acquah my man of the match. Never stopped left it all out on the pitch and what a great goal.

Great substitutions was the key. Spoke to a Port Vale fan yesterday who loves Worrall (not his best game along with Campbell but both a step up in midfield for us) but stated if Proctor can stay fit he will lead the line robustly and score goals. Think he got the winner today.

Feel we still need a McClelland type of loanee in central defence. We were a little hesitant there all game. I know the wind was a factor but there are problems there.

Nevertheless a good come from behind win. Accrington will be quite a challenge on Tuesday at least the drive there is not as far for me if my ticket arrives.

I'm guessing he means resetting all the current rules and letting the young passionate fans in. I have always found that fans self regulate anyone stepping out of line is quickly brought back into line by more sensible members of the group

Just watched the ITV4 highlights show - OK until they showed the table at the end, said there are 3 teams with 100% records and then managed to mention both MK Dons and Gillingham, but say nothing about Barrow!
I was listening on iFollow/RC today and I always thought that if we got one goal, we would then go on to win it. Both good goals, but Acquah’s pace to get on the ball after he knocked it on from Foley’s pass was amazing. I thought he looked a bit slow last week, but not today.
Someone mentioned how quiet it was today - that came across on the commentary, unlike last week at Tranmere, where we sounded great, but it is always like that at away matches.
Accrington won’t be easy, but get a result there and maybe we might get a special mention …

Personal opinion, not Trust.

We need to let over secondary kids in unaccompanied- we are not a school, there's degrees of responsibility, we have [SwearFilter] a lot of parents off and as everyone says, it's how many of us got into the game.

75 percent of games will now have no 'fence opponent' and a sterile area the size of Hindpool. If the kids want to run at fences and [SwearFilter] about, let em!

Not sure who is club banned but needs a review.

There are some fans who are currently unable to go or have been warned over conduct for expressing an opinion.

Surely the new away area solves the previous problems of the youth at the fence gesturing & throwing stuff, So let the u-16 back in & support the team they love.

It does solve the problem when teams bring small away followings like today and they are all in the new stand. The acid test will be Wrexham at home when they fill the away end to capacity and just a twenty foot no mans land separates the fans

Agreed Grade A games hold far more challenges then Grade D games but whatever the solution is it shouldn’t be excluding our younger supporters.

Let’s be very honest here, There’s bits of trouble the length of our fair isle most Saturdays, We are no different & workable thought out solutions should be a priority.

Totally agree this under 16 rule ( if it's called that) is absolutely appalling, I and a few other's on here would never have been able to watch Barrow!
There are no EFL rules stopping us as a club from letting these kids in ! To be honest I can't see any reason for it apart from somebody trying to be seen to deem themselves important!

Agreed. I used to go to the match on my own as a 9-10 year old and would hang around outside the dressing room after the match to get the autographs of players like Tommy Cahill, Billy Gordon, Dave Proctor, etc.

Yes, but we can’t live in the past, after the recent crowd trouble issues that are often from the u/16 huddle in the HS End, considering the impact on the club is obviously far more damaging.

Pretty sure Cahill, Gordon and Proctor didn’t have pyrotechnics to dodge on the field!

I honestly don’t understand how this happens as surely those who were at Tranmere were there today, why are they not so vocal at home? Alcohol-induced tribalism away? Mob mentality?
I think this happens with most teams, certainly an interesting phenomena and one for the psychologists I imagine.

Great result, we dominated.Garner MOM,never in my book, don’t think he’ll get double figures.We dominated from start to finish, subs just gave us something different. Nobody has mentioned Kian Spence, thought he was excellent again. Accy will be real tough,they are real good at home. This under 16 ban has to be lifted, it’s an absolute disgrace. I can’t speak more highly of the chairman but Paul if you read this forum, Change that ruling NOW!

Whatever Herbie thinks I would implement it. I genuinely think this team is good, really good and luckily next game we will be a big crowd anyway because people want to be on the telly…but after that we need the support. Maybe it’s died off but once over we’d have had a “All Bluebirds Are Blue” or even just a Barrrrow, Barrrow but nothing today

Exactly what I was thinking since the ban behaviour has been much improved.Any trouble has been outside .Am thinking of the disorder at bottom of cemetery hill after the Newcastle “friendly” and that involved not kids but lots of so called adult men overweight foul mouthed and aggressive dressed in black who ran back down the hill to confront an equally adult male similar group on the grass at the bottom opposite the tally ho.I was walking up the pavement to my car as they all rushed passed me.Unfortunately impressionable teenagers think this is man,y behaviour.It is much nicer now we have lots of youngsters come a fair proportion of whom will hopefully stay with us as get older.

Absolutely brilliant to watch and even though Tom White doesn't offer much going forward he is a menace and gets stuck in. He gets under the skin of the opposition and there are times when we need exactly that.
Junior Tielsa looks like a real threat when he's running at defenders and Emile Aquea is a beast. Garner ,Procter, Worral and Newby are quality and with Whitfield still to come back teams are going to hate playing us.
Even Ty Warren looks like he's improved in this team .
Finally the ground is looking great considering how far we've come ...but for heavens sake make some noise at home. We literally have never had it so good .Holker Street should be bouncing.

Yes it was very quiet particularly after half time. I think the club should try to implement a singing area somewhere in the ground to create some sort of noise. This is a problem many home teams face particularly when it's not a so called A grade game. A number of premiership clubs have had the same issue and singing areas have been set up so why shouldn't we consider it.

Perhaps club should also now consider a review of the Under 16 rule - perhaps for a trial period to see if things work out.
