Bolton News say that the only hold up now is the interpretation of some clauses in his Barrow contract.

It also suggests that they realise that they cannot compete in L2 with what they were left with in L1. They clearly see Evatt at not so much a manager as a saviour. Lot to put on one persons shoulders that. Could just as easily break your career as much as make it.

Well if that were about the interpretation of a clause regarding compensation that could be quite significant. Just pay the compo Bolton.

I thought that Bolton had to pay the compensation up front before they could talk to Ian Evatt.
If so and they haven't spoken to him, how can either party know how each might react once talks do start?

It seems that the compensation has already been agreed, but Barrow and Bolton disputed some of the finer details. I don't believe the Bolton News story entirely, but they aren't making it all up.

"but they aren't making it all up."-
I think they are. There has been a massive slump in the print media due to the virus-people got out of the habit.
The Bolton News knows people are desperate for a bit of good news and is happy to print sh!te to sell papers=profit.

We'll see - they're certainly setting themselves up to fail if the deal collapses.

I think someone said that the Bolton News was part of Newsquest that owns the Mail.

Looks like they need to check out the spelling of 'prise'
