Evidently just been reported on Sky Sports news - not good whether there's truth in it or not.

Peo gloves deffo needs to be in goal at Alfreton, Hurst needs a rest to sort his head out, its a mental thing with the crosses now. The only weak link last night imo apart from Baylis and the subs thing, cant get my head round why they weren't on sooner.

Have the media not learnt anything from the clattenberg thing, bandying round accusations based on the words of one person which later turn out to be false.

If his diving, play acting and various antics were anything to go by last night the guy has zero credibility whatsoever, I'll be highly suprised if there's any substance in this (like Nathan Pond, arguing with barrow fans after being sent off with no basis whatsoever.

Having said that its one of those that will probably not be proved either way as how can you, so will just roll on.

Dont see why we dont make subs. Boyes was fantastic but everyone was tired towards the end. Surely a straight striker for striker swap in the last 5/10 isnt gonna destroy us? Bringing Rowe on too, not my first choice sub. Another thing, the subs didnt warm up at all apart from rowe jogged to the crossbar corner and back, a long time before he went on though. Surely that cant be good.

We played well, draw was probably about right but we had chances to win. Worrys me that our only goal was from a set piece.

A lot of people saying Macc were shit, if they were, like many other teams this year were in our fans opinion, we still didnt beat them!

Happy with the commitment shown by our lads, the back four finally look like a back four. We bossed the midfield (for once) YJO was fantastic. Battled well.

Havent seen PeoGloves in the last couple of games but hadnt heard a bad word about his performances, Hurst has been below average this season, and thats being nice.

On the subject of Brown, he came out of the tunnel at ht arguing with the ref and talking to Hessey. He didnt look happy at all. Dont know anything more about it though

I hope when it's proved that no such thing happened the FA throw the book at this player.
TBH I didn't hear anything either, I would have challenged the clown/s otherwise, not saying it didn't happen though just I didn't hear anything like that. He did get a lot of stick, a huge amount actually, maybe in all the general noise atmosphere sounds can be misheard.

If it did happen though I urge anyone to shop them and name and shame on here.

It’s not uncommon for people to make false claims in order to manipulate a situation in their favour. In fact here’s just such a situation from today’s news headlines (below).

If there were racist remarks made last night, whoever heard them (Brown and his Manger allegedly) should have taken the time to have the culprits identified and arrested. Maybe that is the standard procedure and maybe there were no such remarks to initiate that procedure. Their failure to act appropriately (as they did all night) leaves the matter as hearsay I'm afraid.

Sounds like it was only one or two people that might've said something racist. The way society is nowadays is that everyone gets tarred by the same brush due to the actions of one or two mindless people and the way the Macclesfield fans are banging on on their board it seems like every Barrow fan in the ground last night is a racist. Not good if it did happen, however.

Football wise, I well and truly hope we beat them in the replay. Hope their fans are coming to terms with the fact that it isn't an easy ride back into the football league regardless of club stature (even though they're not massive like they like to think) and judging by that performance last night, they aren't going back anytime soon.

Bob on Ste, reminded me of that muppet Pond when I heard this on 5Live this morning. All he (Brown) did all night was whinge and moan at the referee.

Just read the NWEM report of this incident. I can't see how the ref can report it to the FA. What is he going to say - that the manager believes he heard a racist comment directed at his player but none of the officials heard it, nodody knows who said it and there is nobody else to corroborate it unless they can find a policeman that wasn't here.

If it did happen, the tunnel is steward central surely someone must have heard it, hopefully they'll shop the culprit and they get everything they deserve

Real or not, this is probably as high as Barrow will ever get on BBC's sports coverage: not good for the club.

It wouldn't be the first Barrow fan that's done this sort of thing. :sentoff: We need to get these people out of Holker Street because it undercuts the positive things that our fans do, such as the support at the Darlo match, and that we can be proud of

This is what will happen with regard to the allegation of racism.

There will be an investigation.

There won't be enough evidence to name and shame anyone.

The clubs name will be dragged through the mud but no further action will be taken.

My son said all he heard was someone shout 'cheat' at the player as he came back out. He's an honest lad is my son and he wouldn't lie about it. Of course, someone may have shouted something and my son may not have heard it but if anyone from the club wants to speak to my son about anything he saw or heard, just get in touch.

It was a feisty game, where two of their black players got on the wrong side of the crowd for what the crowd believed was them feigning injuries. I booed at their number 5 and number 2 after different incidents when I thought they stayed down way too long after tackles in an attempt to con the ref. It had nothing to do with the colour of their skin and everything to do with their antics on the pitch. They brought the abuse on themselves(abuse for their actions, not any racial abuse they may have received).

Of course, if there was any racial abuse, they absolutely should not have to take that but on the flip of the same coin, they should be expected to take plenty of flak for their actions on the pitch. It's going to be impossible to prove either way unless someone provides concrete evidence or someone confesses but mud sticks and unfortunately the clubs name will be sullied either way.

Good performance last night by Barrow pity we didnt take our clear cut chances.
Thought we should have made substitutions and brought on Almond or Jackson to give us some fire power but Bayliss obviously wanted to play his cards close to his chest and keep his secret weapons for replay at Macclesfield. ;)
Boyes was def MOM for me but Sean Hessey battled(and had too against that fouling Barnes Homer)all game and his shot hit with some power near end ,if not deflected i think would have found net.
Please dont let this so called 'racist'comment overshadow game ..these things happen to all but most people get on with it....
The NHS want to ask Macclesfield what they give their players as it certainly gives remarkable recovery from life threatening injuries as shown by Kissock and especially the right full back who suddenly ran 100 yds as quick as Hussain Bolt, ;)
